Are you a successful drug user?

hmm thats a tough one. id say somewhat. its been over 20 years, im not fried, and im alive. i think i must be doing something right. ive still got a conscience, but im very lazy and i procrastinate alot

i'm like this. trying to figure out what i'm going to do in the future since i quit college, mostly down to my weed habit although i don't soley blame that as i've always been really lazy anyway. i would say that drugs didn't help me while i was growing up but i recognised that and am trying to cut down a lot now.

Yeah I’m pretty happy with my life, successful for sure! I’ve been a drug user since i was 14yrs old, started with the "gateway drug Pot" LOL. I’m 35 now and a 2-3 times a week opiate user, or pot or whatever comes my way type of user. I hold a great job (9yrs now), I have to travel allot for work so it’s stressful. People’s lives are in my hands on a daily basis that’s stressful as well. But even under stress and being a user I never have let anyone down, not even myself. I believe everything in moderation is key and strong self discipline as well. There is not a drug I haven’t tried at least once or twice. I'm married now (6yrs) with no kids (yeah!) my wife tolerates my usage and does not judge me. I never have been divorced, fired from a job, or been in any DWI incidents. I have lots of toys (ATV’s Boat, RV, 4 Cars and 2 Trucks) and a big home that is entirely paid for (no mortgage). Just would like to add one more thing….Never been to college…fucking joke! Go drugs! Live your life, don’t let other people tell you how. Enjoy it you only get one

Haha, I unemployed right now....

Well, I didn't have any role in getting unemployed, the whole situation with which I and others were working sort of ended. We are waiting something to happen, and if nothing happens, I will keep moving (to other venturs, enterprises).

I have university degree, and did studying mostly on illicit opiates... some were attained through medical field though... Only problematic periods were those when I couldn't get opiates, and drank alcohol (which doesn't fit to me at all). I need opiates/opioids to funtion well. I believe I have something like EDS...

I smoke weed somtimes but I do not do much other drugs. While studying I did stimulants sometimes to keep me awake. Still could do them periodically, but don't need them to any particular reason, like I need opiates. (I'm on methadone now, and would probably be forever).

It is plain WAR ON DRUGS sceme that drugs cause problems, and it is built in to our societies, because they see drugs only as problem, because of war on drugs. Drugs are illegal, so they automaticly cause problems, if people get caugh... and because they are illegal, one has to hang out with criminals (and co-criminals) and do criminal activity (according to status f drugs), if one takes drugs.

So, people should understand this, stop that WAR ON DRUGS, make its stupidities visible, tell about facts and legalize drugs...

Well, I know it won't happen.

Getting by

I have used drugs for over 20years now. Originally started off with weed then speed then had a whale of a time for a few years on Ecstasy and occasional dose tab of Acid. That was throughout the 1990s,I got married in 95 and we bought a house together. Unfortunately she died a few years later. I started using heroin about 2000 and tthroughout everything I went through I have always maintained a full time job and not one of my friends knows anything about my heroin usage. They would be totally shocked if they knew. So yes it is possible to be successful while using drugs, only the unlucky few drop out of society.

i'm a successful musician and have quite a lot of money.

but if music didn't work out i'd still have a lot of money as i have a large trust fund(but i didn't get it till i was 25).

I never really touched drugs in high school, but then got into it later on. I never considered myself a drug user until recently, because I would always mix it up and never did anything consistently. Adderall, GHB, norco, opium, coke, and steroids are all on my favorites list. I used to like pot, hell, I used to own a marijuana dispensary in CA, but it just doesn't cut it for me anymore, I get paranoid when I smoke. I'd consider myself pretty successful, but I can do better. I think my problem is that I keep telling myself that I'll really start working harder when I'm off the drugs, but the truth is that I love drugs. So as opposed to denying it, I'm going to just roll with it and see where it takes me, I'll fill you guys in on how successful I become. But as for my age right now, I'm considered successful.

Im getting a nice substantial trust fund when I turn 40. I gotta make a plan on how to invest it right instead of wanting to blow money on stupid things.

As for being successful, I have friends relatives that have smoked weed for years & are running successful businesses w/o a hitch. I for one dont like weed anymore, it just doesnt do it. I can do opiates tho & manage the business im running w/o a hitch. Imo, you can be a successful drug user as long as you use in moderation & have strong will, something alot of people dont.

take it from me, one of the worst investments you can make is blowing money on cars.

thats what i did, and the only things they do is get me places and lose value.

when you get all that money invest wisely, i have made some stupid money choices and you can't get money back from drugs, hookers, cars, watches...

just do weed, amphetamines and hydrocodone when i get my hands on it. i only do these once a week or so though and im still doing pretty good in school.

I hear you bro. When I buy cars, its usually a 2 to 3 year old car, I never buy new. I will never spend more than $25,000 on a car. Last car I bought was a 6 year old Lexus with 45,000 miles for $14,000. I just gotta inest right but am scared of investing in the stock market. I gotta do some studying.

Why be scared of the stock market? I made money in the stock market, it was fairly easy.

You just have to do a lot of research and know what you're doing, and you can't put all your eggs in one basket, in more than one way (don't invest all of your money, and whatever part you do choose to invest, diversify your investments over several favorable stocks instead of just choosing one).

first thing i bought when i got money was a Lamborgini Diablo and not much longer after that a BMW 850i.

in 2007 i bought a Porsche Carrera but totaled it while fucked up :|, and the last car i bought was a 2010 Mercedes CL65 AMG.

its good that you have given yourself a limit, i didn't and now i'm stuck with some bad investments(except the Lambo, i should have just stopped there).

also about the stock market, if you want to make some money you have to take some risk. yes the stock market has screwed me a few times but it has made me money more times and is pretty safe if you invest in the right company and stick in there for a while.

No I'm not. I am having difficulty finding a job, any job, and I don't want to go back to dealing or robbing. I'm really in kinda a effed up situation. I can either risk going back to jail or getting killed an do the only thing I know how to do well, or keep looking for an opportunity no one wants to give me an starve. Believe me though imma keep looking for legit work till even after I hit the homeless shelter, but I don't know how much longer I can last.
I'm making only enough money right now to ride the bus to workplaces and interviews and drink myself into submission every night. Its been like this ever sense I got out of jail cause I told all my connects and fiends that ive changed my life and I'm against selling dope now.

I really wanna do the right thing an just work a job, any job but no one will give me a chance cause of all the shit I did as a teen to help my mom pay the bills. The only enjoyment I get out of life right now is sleeping and getting shitfaced.

As successful as a drug user could be prob'ly... not that I've got some awesome job or whatever, but I don't get any nasty effects to my psyche from drug use, really. Just the usual unpleasant physical ones from time to time.

Those who can use drugs without being on a big guilt trip about it could probably be called successful, IMO. I mean, even a "street crack" user... if they're basically OK with what they're doing, so f*cking what?

I have a cousin that has been playing the stock market for over 10 years & he diversifies pretty well & has done well. I think im gonna ask him to help me.

Wow, a Lambo, very nice car but I would never buy anything like that. I dont like sports cars myself but do like your BMW & Benz cars. If I do splurge, I was thinking of a Range Rover, used of course. As far as the stock market, I will get my cousin to help me since he has done well in the past.
