Are we dosing tryptamines wrong?

I'd say with 4-sub tryptamines myself and probably a fair few others would be concerned about the experience being so massively physically uncomfortable that it might ruin the profundity and spiritual benefits of the experience. I can't see myself having a great time if, for instance, I was super nauseated/throwing up with massive muscle tremors.

Do physical side effects tend to level off in your experience? I am interested in this aspect...

I find the body load is pretty much the same regardless of dose. A while ago on an 8th of mushrooms + 70mgs or so (don't remember exact number) of 4-AcO-DMT I had no more body load than I would have if I just ate the mushrooms (slightly more than I would on a normal dose of 4-AcO-DMT, but only because the fungus itself makes more body load for me than the active chems). I find body load with 4-subs really has to do with how your body is when you dose, not the dosage taken.

after reading the last page about higher doses not increasing body load..

maybe i can agree for 4-ho-mipt. but TO AN EXTENT. 18-20 mg has been a pretty full, immersive (why is that not a word?) trip.
~14 mg has seemed to produce the same or maybe more anxious energy on the fast come-up, though this may also have been due to setting.
for me, 23-25 mg has felt a little too intense on my brain. and i think assuming the body load would decrease with 40 or 50 mg is kinda ridiculous. but to be fair, i have not taken that much miprocin, probably never will.

so a "solid" dose of ~20 mg is better than ~14 mg....but more than 20 is not necessarily easier on the body.....for me.

4-aco-dmt, i need to take a higher dose of my batch. 30 mg is a decent trip. 45 mg was VERY strong. the "body load" would include being plastered to the couch for part of the trip, and having motor skills greatly impaired for other parts of it. i have a feeling ~37 mg would be a more appropriate dose for me.

you really just have to find your own dose though. people are different. starting low and titrating up is good advice. with miprocin, i actually did the opposite though. took ~25 mg for the first time. then 20. then 16.
