Are there any short-acting uppers?

I needed help staying awake through the day today & used buproprion myself.

It works. Is it super euphoric & fun? Not really. Does it make you feel spun & horny? Nope, not at all.

Does it perk you up/wake you up, enhance your focus, increase music euphoria? Sure does.

It may not be an ideal recreational stimulant, but it's relatively easy to get. It's uncontrolled & also used as a quitting smoking cessation aid.

Just say you have depression & can't tolerate SSRIs.

There's also no real come down (like at all) & the effects are pretty much over within 30-60 minutes. It's comparable to a "diet" cocaine honestly. That might be a generous analogy but there are times where buproprion does produce a pretty moderate euphoria. It's also got it's own sort of "built-in-ceiling effect", where if you do try to abuse too much, you'll just feel like crap & regret it anyway. So it's better as something to take to perk up for an hour or two if you want or if you need to focus & concentrate on something for a short while.

And this is coming from some one who used crystsal meth off & on for 20 years, along with adderall & ritalin. So people shitting on buproprion (even though it is shitty) seems more like ego slinging rather than providing any worthwhile answers to what you seek OP.

I wish you luck though. You're not the only one having trouble finding quality drugs. Not only are they hard to come by at times, but people tend to be selfish & assholes, so you get left with finding/using whatever you can get your hands on anyway.
 
It seems Death Industrial is not familiar with the notion of individual variations in their response to substances, commonly stated online as YMMV, but I've read countless times that the typical duration for orally dosed IR methylphenidate is around 4 hours. With the duration for snorting these preparations ranging from 1 - 2 hours.

There may well be some slight residual stimulation following this, but it wont be anything like the residual stimulation from more classic recreational stimulants such as speed or coke.

Methylphenidate is not very recreational or compulsive, (even the IR formulations and even crushed and snorted) although of course individual response does vary, but generally once someone has found that out for themselves they'll realise that there is no point trying to get something out of the substance that just isnt there.

Ime you could easily snort 10-20mg of methylphenidate for a late evening boost. Do what you need to do. Then go to bed a few hours later. And sleep without issue.

He also seems to have a fixation on Buproprion, which these days is very difficult to obtain in the UK, and is a pretty nasty stim ime anyway.

Kratom wouldbt be a bad shout. Probably lasts about 6 hours though. Tends to need to be combined with some other caffeinated beverage like tea to enable it to launch. But it is very effective. Very much like coffee, has all the good effects of coffee, with none of the negatives.

posted at exact same time as you and reposting - just cos I am definitely doing right now what you say cannot be done (and I can be a terribly compulsive stim user)

You can easily snort a 10mg ir ritalin, have a couple hours mild-ish stimulation from it and be ready for bed 3 hours later, 4 hours at the very latest - have done so on a number of occasions

didn;t snort it today mind so there's that - but I did take 10mg ritalin oral 2 hours ago and won't be adding to that today - I just don't find it compulsive oddly

now if that was amphet sulphate, meth, any other damn stim apart from modafinil - then all bets would be off and I'd be away to the races

all caveats to all stim use always though - there's no such thing as a free lunch and pipers must be paid - terrible drugs in general imo
 
I'm stupid because you don't know that kratom can be highly stimulating. OK then.

I guess that says it all.

Just cause you tweakers no longer get satisfactory effects from your drugs, doesn't mean you should be recommending them to people without tolerances & incorrectly claiming that they'll only last 1-2hrs.


What if OP tries this & ends up enjoying it to the point of compulsive dosing? Ritalin is literally cocaine-lite but you wanna claim it's not compulsive. Bull-fucking shit.

I, a stimulant addict who very rarely uses anymore, do not find low dose oral methlphendiate compulsive. Shoot me.

Instead of cereal, I suggest eating the Little Book of Calm, like Manny accidentally did

EDIT also, just FYI, the OP is highly unlikely to develop a stimulant issue - they have been there, done that, and already hate speed.
 
Never before have I seen someone so desperate to cling to their findings as being the only possible correct findings, that no one else is possibly allowed to have a differing take, and then they completely throw their toys out of the pram in a full on tantrum, if any one else disagrees or has different personal experiences and findings.

It was so hard not to resist rattling that cage a little, to see what would would come falling down.

The reaction so far has been so hilarious that I don't think it could ever be topped, so there seems little point trying to rattle the cage any more to see what else might come tumbling down.

There is nothing else to rebut or say either. I've already said it. And it's clearly not getting through. Nothing to be gained by prolonging the discussion any further at this stage.

All I will say is that EVERY user report of sniffing methylphenidate I've seen on other online resources states that the duration is shorter. But no DI just won't accept this for some reason.

By now poor old Isemene has totally lost intrerest in the the thread anyway and probably no longer cares if he even remembers asking the question....

Duration is absolutely impacted by route of administration and mitragynine may increase cortisol production which can also be stimulating, although this is based on a poster presentation and the data is not published yet
 
I deleted a few posts with the logic that no suggestion here is really that unresponsible and dangerous. Even if it could be up to dispute if it is good suggestion or correct suggestion, it still does not warrant insulting and aggression.

I could not really care at certain point anymore if some post did contain any reasonable content, if it had direct insult, I removed it.
