RCs Are there any non-recreational psychoactive RC's?

Hi.
I wish to know if there are any mind-altering RC's without recreational potential. By this I mean things such as RC antidepressants, RC antipsychotics, RC sedatives (non-recreational ones), etc.
I've tried searching but couldn't find any.
What do you think about it?
 
Mmm, not really... at least not that I can think of. I mean there are Sildenafil (viagra) analogues and RC's that have been trialed as anti-depressants, but the one's that make it to the market are usually recreational, MDAI comes to mind. There are also RC benzos that are widely known as being ''not recreational" like Diclazepam and moreso Pyrazolam. Why do you ask? Curiosity?
 
Yeah, I've seen Acetildenafil being sould around.
I ask mostly out of curiosity but as I am a neurotic, maybe there I could find my drug.
 
Ahh, how could I forget about nootropics. This class of drugs may also have potential to help with your neurosis, though neurosis is such a broad term relief may vary greatly, if at all. You may want to look into Noopept in particular as I found this below, though like I said... neurosis is just such a broad term that you may not have any issues with helplessness.

In addition to this, Noopept has also been used to treat amnesia caused by electrical shocks. It has also been shown to act as a neuroprotective substance in many tests on animals. Sure, I know about nootropics.
What I have in mind are legal, uncontrolled drugs which act as SSRI's, SNRI's, D2 antagonists, CB1 antagonists, mu antagonists, antihistamines, anticholinergics.

Captain - I've been taking noopept, however it doesn't seem to do much for me. As for "neuroticism" - I used it as a catch-all phrase for my personality. After my suicide attempt they diagnosed me as having schizoid personality disorder, however I believe ADHD + avoidant pd/social anxiety is a better description of myself.
 
Why would you want an antihistamine rc? Antihistamines are OTC pretty much everywhere with a large variety of strength of anticholinergic effects.

Why mu-antagonists rc as well? They give you Narcan where I'm from if you take a class or just ask a doctor for a prescription. It's not like they could help any mental problems.

Really you should discuss with your doctor why you think you should be diagnosed differently. Self medication is a bad road especially if you're trying to frequently use a drug that has unknown side effects. Tell them you think antidepressants and antipsychotics will help; if you're already prescribed things describe how their not helping and/or negative side effects.

Have you tried asking to you doctor for real medication before trying to get research chemicals to treat your neurosis ?

Other than that...
- Tolazoline is a alpha adrenergic antagonist
- Tetrahydropalmatine is a dopamine blocker

The market for the kind of chemical you are looking for is really poor.
 
f33lg00d - why not? They might give you naloxone, but as you said, you need a prescription. Plus - it's not that easy everywhere and I bet many would prefer to just order it from a vendor, not having to ask a doctor for a prescription.
I'm not even that keen on trying to self-medicate with RC's (sans low-dose stims), I'm just curious.

QUARE - as I said, it's mostly out of curiosity. I was on perazine, olanzapine and later promazine, but it was pointless and stupid. Lately I've been thinking of seeing a doctor, but I can't make myself to do it.
 
OP what is your definition of RC? Any drug not used or tested in vivo? Any drug not marketed by corporations? Any drug one can buy on the internet?

Your answer depends on your definition of research chemical.

4-MeO-MiPT or 5-MeO-TMT don't sound recreational for example.

Sildenafil and co were mentioned but I don't think they really qualify as psychoactive, I mean do they really act on the psyche?

So you see, if you accept that any psychoactive effect may be liked recreationally by *some* particular people, all is excluded.

Some drugs are considered merely enhancers (borderline nootropics which were mentioned), others may just have function as primer to enhance other drugs, like MPT, or was it NMT? Perhaps bad example.

By nonrecreational I mean the one which could not be used to 'get high'.
Of course, one can enjoy the effects of a drug that is generally accepted as non-recreational like, say, a neuroleptic, but I suppose you know roughly what I have in mind.
You're right with acetildenafil and other viagroids.

Yeah, I my question was definitely foggy, for what I apologize.
I was thinking about a legal and non-controlled chemical substance which produces psychoactive effects, is excluded from pharmacies and is purchasable from the Internet (=> so all those experimental drugs which you can't obtain, do not count).
