Are There Any Good (yet free) DJ Programs?

I know there are lots of programs such as Frooty Loops but that is for composing & recording beats as far as I know. I am looking for a program that lets you remix a song and not just altering the pitch or slowing/upping the tempo but rather a true DJ program like DJs use where they can add a ton of sounds, blend, mix, etc.

I am new to DJing but always enjoyed the art form of DJing and I would be satisfied with a program that starts with the basics for beginners such as sampling, mixing, whatever its called when you add sounds and/or fuck around with the beat going crazy.

Any help would be greatley appreciated!

p.s. if there aren't any free programs please still add the name of the programs (i might be able to get them)

I'd just download the traktor demo, it isn't a trial, you get all the features, it works just as good. The only downside is the program shuts down every 30 min's and you have to start it again... but hey it's a demo ;)

I think there is a free version of Virtual DJ, not sure if it’s any good though. I am still analog and love the feeling of touching my records too much :)

You mention remixing quite a lot, there is only so much so you will able to do on the fly when DJing. If you are really interested in fully remixing songs you will need a DAW like fruity loops or reason etc.
