Why believe in anything? I don't get it...as a human being there is no reason to believe in anything other than yourself. At a very early age we are taught to be helpless, naturally corrupt, and born dirty with sin. Church and religion just so happen to have the only remedy for inherited sin. Just submit yourself to god and repent. Simple right, the church/religion gives you an easy out of spending your eternity in hell.
Surly everyone in their right mind would want such a gift as eternity with god as opposed to eternal damnation?
Late in life I chose not to believe in the supernatural, including god, devil, Jesus, hocus pocus or spirits. I believe any and everything can be understood and defined by science. Whatever cannot be defined in this day and age is because we haven’t learned how to ask the right questions. Even so called miracles can be understood through the manipulation and bending of the laws of physics. We don’t have that knowledge yet, but that does not mean god or Jesus is the answer. It simply means we don’t know.
Recently I decided I was responsible and accountable for everything in my life that has happened to me. Things I accomplished were not because of god blessings or love for me. God does not exist in my life because believing in god is fallacy because early on in my life I was convinced god created me, it was what I was taught. I was taught god is love, I was taught to thank god for my wonderful life. Yet worse of all, I was taught to tell the good news so other people can become cloned servants of god. Heavy shit, right?
If you are Christian or a believer, you are easily controlled and predictable. The government supports you as long as you can be controlled by them. When a person learns to think independently they are a threat to society, not necessarily in the way of causing harm to society, rather free thinkers threaten the hold and predictably government has over society.
