Are oven-baked TR Oxycodons very toxic?

Been reading a lot through the old threads about all the methods to beat the TR.

In my experience, crushing them and heating them to 260°F is an effective way to "destroy"
the Polyox and get an IR-form of oxycodone.

Now I'd never inject or snort anything like this because it's obvious that's not healthy for my veins/lungs and all.

But! Is the powder i'm cooking even safe to take orally?

I've never seen smoke come out of the powder and it doesnt look black or darkbrown or anything.
Always looks goldenbrown like it's "supposed" to. So i assume it doesnt get burned.

Yet, polyox is a form of plastic i think. So does heating it make it toxic ?

I used to just grind the pills up with a callus remover and snort it. The stringy snot was a pain in the ass but nothing overly annoying, just had to take a few minutes to blow it out after a little while. IME cripsing them really didn't make it any better than grinding it up with the callus remover, but you got to get a good one. My buddy found these ones out in Wisconsin or something that were jagged as all hell and worked way better than any I could find around here. Gave a nice fine powder and didn't leave stringy remains. Coudl use a dremel tool, too, I hear thats what people use on the new Opanas.

Sorry that really wasn't on topic, but I doubt anyone has a definitive answer to that question. Would need some serious lab studies done.

In general, probably not a good idea to consume toasted plastic. In the small amounts that would be found in a pill though I think it's not worth worrying about.

The same can be said about ingesting plastic in general.
I wonder if the answer to my question is really that complicated. Especially for someone with a basis in chemistry.

If the extended release version wouldnt cause my stomach to produce excessive gas,
I wouldnt go through the trouble to cook my oxies.

Not really. Most plastics are not degraded at all and pass harmlessly through the gut. When you start breaking apart the polymer with heat, etc. it will no doubt be easier for your body to absorb the fragments of polymer.

Are you sure?
Because i have read that even small amounts of BPA, for example, are considered to be hazardous.

I wish i could consume my oxies in peace but im not willing to make a huge bet on it.
Death and disease come soon enough even without taking risks that are too great.

My only other options would be smoking h which i guess is dangerous as well with all the additives greedy sellers might cut it with,

Or doing cold water extractions on codeine. Im affraid ill have to go this route.
