The title pretty well sums it up: Are 2-methylamino-1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propane hydrocloride (MDMA) and 2-amino-1-(3,4-methylenedixoyphenyl)propane hydrochloride (MDA) cross tolerance engendering? Also, how do the subjective effects of their sulfate salts being ingested have on the user rather than the usual hydrochloride one?

MDA has a broader spectrum of effects than MDMA. Both are monoamine releasers, MDA is also a serotonin receptor agonist. They will build cross tolerance in terms of the monoamine release, but MDA's psychedelic effects will be unaffected by MDMA use. The only difference between sulfate and hydrochloride is potency, for equipotency the dosage of sulfate is about a third higher. btw, you don't need to give the IUPAC names, we know what MDA and MDMA are ;)
