Misc Are darknet markets worth it?

The expected drug was more likely to be identified when sourced from cryptomarkets versus off-line for MDMA tablets [adjusted odds ratio (AOR) = 2.10, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.28–3.43], MDMA powder (AOR = 2.64, CI = 1.55–4.51), cocaine (AOR = 3.65, CI = 1.98–6.71) and LSD (AOR = 1.75, CI = 1.13–2.72). Cryptomarket-sourced MDMA powder (β = 0.03, P = 0.012), cocaine (β = 0.08, P < 0.001) and methamphetamine (β = 0.15, P = 0.028) were statistically significantly higher in strength than substances from off-line sources. Conversely, MDMA tablets (β = −0.01, P = 0.043) and amphetamine (β = −0.07, P < 0.001) from cryptomarkets were statistically significantly lower in strength than from off-line sources. MDMA powder (AOR = 0.53, CI = 0.33–0.86) and cocaine (AOR = 0.66, CI = 0.55–0.79) were statistically significantly less likely to be adulterated if sourced from cryptomarkets. However, amphetamine (AOR = 1.54, CI = 1.25–1.90) and LSD (AOR = 1.31, CI = 1.00–1.71) were found to be more likely to be adulterated when purchased from cryptomarkets. Cocaine from cryptomarkets exhibited fewer adulterants (incidence rate ratio = 0.71, CI = 0.60–0.85).

From this study comparing street drugs to those bought online.

Definitely better to buy MDMA powder, meth and cocaine online if you’re in Australia. They are both purer and stronger, on average. For all drugs they studied, one was more likely to get they wanted - what the drug was advertised as - online.

I had some I gave away. Lab grade. I hate the stuff. Maybe I should’ve kept it to swap for MDPV or mephedrone. I’ll keep an eye out for it though because I’m curious if it is really that obscure.

I never cared for methylphenidate. Would only do it if I had no stronger stimulant and I needed to stay awake for some reason. And methcathinone did not impress me at all.

In summer 2023 I bought some stuff sold to me as 3MMC and 4MMC, from two different street vendors. I wasn’t impressed at all by either, but I preferred the former as it was more stimulating. Neither of them were sexual like meth or super euphoric like MDMA. I suspect I got 2MMC &/or 3CMC.

My reaction to MDPV overall was one of ambivalence I think. For reasons that would probably be tldr.....But even though it made me feel grim and paranoid, I still found it compulsive and did several 2 nighters on it......

Music sounded bad, (so rare for stims to affect me that way) but it was kind of sexually compulsive.

I don’t find anything compulsive - the closest would be crack - so I don’t expect that kind of effect, but I didn’t get any negative stuff either, it was just meh. But I tried these with a friend who is absolutely the compulsive type and he was not much interested in redosing either. He did so a few times, but he didn’t even find it worth doing another day. And he was also not overly impressed.

Yeah the Canadians seem to be the only ones with genuine hydromorphone too

I suppose you need the good drugs if half your day is spent running away from polar bears

Yeah, but they can be so good too. Music can sound awesome and they can be such useful substances if used with discipline.

Many of them seem to have sexual effects on many people though. (Perhaps MPA is the only 'proper' stimulant I've ever tried that didn't have this effect. That was a flash in the pan RC. ) Modafinil doesnt really either.

It could be the increased dopamine sloshing around in the brain, somehow 'hijacks' the brain into a porn and fapping session, if that option is available, seeing as those activities are also associated with increased dopamine.

I just made that up tbh, although many people online say similar sorts of things.

It's not ideal for people taking stimulants to treat ADHD, that's for sure, and I haven't figured out the solution, or path to take through all of this just as of yet.

Things like Soma kill one's ability to climax IME so that could be one last resort kind of measure, to end such activities. If you know you'll just never get there, you won't carry on.

But Soma is not a functional substance suitable for getting things done and being productive and organised.

I gather that crystal meth and crack cocaine have perhaps the strongest effects on causing prolonged and compulsive hyper sexuality binges. I guess it's fortunate that I've managed to avoid / never gone looking for those substances. I'd probably be like those doomed rats in those cruel experiments that can either choose to get their brain's pleasure and reward centres zapped directly, and continue doing so until they die, forgoing all water, food, and sleep in the meantime :rolleyes:

I think there have also been more encouraging rat experiments where rats offered 'enriched environments' will chose other, 'better', options apart from cocaine on tap, but those without the enriched environment will keep choosing the coke. Until they die.

It used to be super common here because there were some big manufacturers, but I think they may have gotten busted or stopped selling... or maybe some of them are still around?
No clue, but I stocked up a few years ago.
I loved it but prefer 6-APB personally, and it made my partner super delirious and a bit panicky (I took a fair bit more than them, but they were far less experienced with empathogens) so I haven't tried it since.

I got a bunch from an EU site when the EU clearnet vendors used to ship to Canada.
Stocked up thankfully so I should be set for 10+ years with how infrequently I take it (1-3 times a year, usually w/ only 1 other person, and moderate dosages)

The report covers drugs from the Dark Web in Australia Web between 2016-2021 but the situation has changed since then with quality getting lower on the Dark Web in recent years.

Looks like it was a pretty small sample size on a now defunct onion forum. You get dodgy sellers everywhere though always test your shit etc.
