Are any of the so called Bentley compounds superagonists capable of reliably producing pain relief relief comparable to morphine, oxy morphone, hydromorphone? Are any at risk of being fun and euphoric? Or are they all mostly limited being a partial agonist with ceiling effects ala buprenorphine? Has any Bentley compound ever been clandestinely synthesized for black markets?

Dhihydroetorphine is used in China with 12.5, 25 and 50ug tablets being used.

The few reports suggest it's duration is only 2-3 hours and that it isn't considered 'desirable' by H users. But I presume it stops AWS for H users to discover it wasn't considered useless, just not 'desirable'.

Almost certainly there will be a less potent example that is more euphoric... but then you have something less potent, so unlikely to be worth the rather complex chemistry associated with it's use.

When there’s recreation to be had it’s always relevant. I would imagine there exists opiophans out there who are always interested in finding legal and new and interesting ways to acquire that euphoria from poppy. Isn’t there alkaloids present almost entirely in the root system of poppy that have been made into isolated MOR compounds?

Well opium has theraputic quantities of paparavine which I suggest is why opium is more dependence-forming that it's quantity of bioavailable morphine. I say bioavailable because around half of the mor[hine in opium is in the form of it's meconate salt which is often wasted. It's known as 'yen pox' and desperate addicts for millenia have known even 'used' opium still has some morphine left in it.
