Are amphetamines and mdma CNS depressants?

Alright so I'm starting to take apetamin which is a ( antihistamine), and it's purpose is to help you gain weight. Now it says it enhances the effects of CNS depressants. And that it dulls the effects of SSRI's. Are amphetamines and mdma considered CNS depressants? They are considered SSRI's right?

Just want to make sure I can use it safely.
 
No, amphetamines & mdma are not CNS depressants, they're stimulants, so antihistamines will dull/alter the effect.

Amphetamines & MDMA don't help you gain weight either.
 
I've taken otc allergy medications (which were antihistamines) with mdma plenty of times, but it didn't seem like they affected each other for me. This is inadvisable though, and I wasn't very careful about this stuff 7-8 years ago. Generally, cns depressants and stimulants can be dangerous at high doses, eg. uppers and downers don't mix well. They could cause really bad arrhythmia. At low doses, eh, it probably won't do anything bad. But if safety is your goal, Dr.Greenthumb has it down.

Antihistamines are cns depressants, yes. I don't think mdma is an SSRI, it works differently since they flood your brain with lots of serotonin. So they are serotonin releasers. I think SSRIs are suppose to balance out your serotonin levels, so that's the difference.

they aren't ssris either. ssris are antidepressants like fluoxetine, ....

i lost 15 kilos in a year of regular partying with these two. if you want to gain weight, stimulants are the last thing you want to do.
 
mdma and amphetamines are stimulants, the very opposite of cns depressants.
Nor are mdma and amphetamines SSRIs. SSRIs are a different class of drugs used to treat depression by preventing the reabsorption of serotonin.
I've been a user of anti-histamines all my life and surprised to learn that they are now classed as CNS depressants.
They are not particularly psychoactive as far as I know except in very large quantities. A friend of mine once gobbled a handful of my pills and saw giraffes in the fields next to the road.
I have not personally noticed much interaction between antihistamines and mdma
