Hi back in 2010 I did my back in L4, L5 S1 after 5 opps it is now fused, BUT I was told at the end of 2010 that I have arachnoiditis,. So has anyone out there have AR too and if so how are you going with the pain and handling it. I use Gabapentium 2 x 300 mg 3 times a day and in the evening when the pain is pushed up to 9 out of 10 I use Jurnista 32 mg but of late the pain pushes up to 9 so I take 64 mg Jurnista, 2 x tramadole 150mg, Oxy norm x 2 and im still in pain but after 2 or 3 hours its not bad, to have an episode and a bad one simply putting on a sock can cause it. So some one out there must have this mongrel condition to.

my same vertabrae' are fused together as well and i'm developing ankylosing spondylitis.

my pain levels fluctuate all the time in all sorts of situations/conditions. a lot of it comes down to physical fitness and core strength. cold weather has me in crippling pain, fluctuations from hot to cold as well.

i'm on a regime of 100mg morphine b.d, 5mg valium t.i.d and 30/500mg codeine/apap as needed at the moment though am on a break from the morphine and will be dropping down to at least 75, most likely 60mg after the winter is done with and i'm ready to go back on them.
