Okay, this post may be repetitive, but I have over 1000 posts on here, so I think I deserve a little slack.
A friend claims she got some opium and wants to try it. I looked at it and it looked like small jagged rocks that are about the size of a tic tac. I didn't feel them, so I can't say if they are sticky, dry, hard or whatever.
However, they were NOT total, deep, completely black. As I recall, they had a reddish, maybe amber color and kind of a shiny-ness/glassiness (which makes me think they would be hard, not sticky). As I understand it, reddish or amber indicates fake crap which does nothing at all.
Anyway, I've searched all over for images and I guess they do look somewhat like the images on erowid of red rock opium (fake). They definitely do not look like the black tar image on erowid of opium.
So what I am trying to find out is if ALL real opium looks like a block of sticky, black tar. I've read in places that opium can be brownish. Maybe what I thought was reddish was, in fact, brownish? And I think I also read about opium flakes, rather than sticky blocks...
I'm grasping at straws here, I know. When I see her again, I'm going on-line to try finding images to compare to what she has when it is right in front of me.. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any other websites with good images of opium (or the different types of soapium). Or if anyone can give a really good description of ALL the variations of what real opium could look and feel like (brown, black, block, flakes, sticky, hard, etc.)
