I am prescribed to Norcos 10/325 and i usually take 5 at once every 5 hours or so but usually max in a 24 hour period i have ever taken is 15 which is 4875 APAP, spread out throughout the day of course and the max APAP i will ever intake at once is 2,000mg...so my question is even though they say 4,000 is the daily max I KNOW people who have taken up to 7,000mg apap via norco 10/325 throughout the day and nothing has went wrong...so do you guys think i will be safe taking 20 norcos within a 12 hour period? that comes out to 6500mg APAP i know its a lot but is it enough to do serious damage? i have been taking oxy, hydro, and a bunch of other opiates for quite some time and my tolerance is really high..thanks everyone I appreciate it! also i knew someone who intook around 9500mg apap in a day and was fine the next day..thanks again everyone!

No it's absolutely not safe. Don't do it. Can't you do a water extraction? Be careful ;)

i could do a CWE which i have done plenty of time i just hate the waiting part and also you lose some hydro during the process. thank you. if anyone else can reply and assist me with my original questions in my original post i would greatly appreciate it

APAP == very bad for the liver. You must know this since you asked the question but I'm just pointing it out to the community in general. Even if you stick to the rulebook, and even having only been on this site a week, I'll bet you don't. Have a few beers with your 4000g of APAP every day and you're doing damage. Plus whatever else you're on... yea...

You know what CWE (cold water extraction) is right? This forum is where I learned to do the procedure, reading threads months/years before I joined, and now I'm pretty good at it. I'm sure someone will point you to the definitive resource on this but I'll describe my own perfected method if anyone's interested. You can get your opiate pills down to less than 1000g or even 500g APAP doing this. Saves my liver a bit as I'm a fairly heavy drinker...

/edit: in the time it took to write that, someone already posted CWE lol *rolleyes* - I'm currently under the influence of such a bitter drink myself. Anyway your question was answered - no it's not safe. The the symptoms of liver failure are rarely present until it's too late. You are slowly damaging the liver. Not judging you or anything - mine's fucked - but it's the truth.

Well, you do what you want with your liver and your life. I say go for it if you don't want to listen to some basic harm reduction advice, and destroy your liver and maybe die an horrible, slow and painful death. Just because you "hate the waiting part" of a simple and effective CWE.

You on anything else? Truth?

You should do the CWE even if you're not but you know that already. You're just looking for someone to tell you it's fine.

Google can answer that question. Try the keywords "acetaminophen induced hepatotoxicity."

If you try something that risky (i.e.:taking 20 norcos) there is a chance your liver can develop some serious problem or worse. No one can say for sure what amount is the amount that will finally make your liver fail. The fact is that the issues start to appear at the 4000mg+ mark, plain and simple.

Do not risk your liver health for something so stupid. Perform a cold water extraction and be patient. "I don't like to wait" is not a valid excuse IMO to put your liver on the line. You do indeed lose a small amount of opiate during the extraction process, but it is a small price to pay for the well-being of one of the most important organs in the body.

You can live without opiates, but not without a liver. Don't go over the 4000mg mark without doing a CWE, period.

Agreed. Absolutely no one can tell you that your proposed dosages will be okay. In fact, the only thing anyone can tell you is that it could very well cause serious damage.

Don't be lazy and impatient - CWE or lower dose.

There's acute liver toxicity, which is where the symptoms show up in a few days and you're fucked. Or there's chronic liver cirrhosis, which is gonna happen over a course of several years, if you abuse drugs like this over a period of time. You didn't mention it in your post, though I got the feeling that you are doing this quite regularly.

As Atheus said, you look like you're just waiting for someone to tell you it's OK and you'll be fine. It's not OK. But ultimately it's your choice. Maybe you'll get permanent liver damage, maybe you won't. But could you live with yourself, if in 20 years your liver is failing and you're sick all the time and in and out of hospital, just because when you were younger you 'hated the waiting part'?

Here's an idea - like a drinking game - you watch a few episodes of House, and every time he has a vico, you all have a CWE hyro shot - raw - no sweet foods etc allowed with the shot :D

This is not a harm reduction idea lol... delete if inappropriate/not cool... but it'd be funny!

^ and this.

If you don't CWE those pills, you're going to fuck your liver up. Do it for your own sake so you can live another day. Remember, you can't take drugs if you're dead.

I'm going to close this thread now. If the OP would like to discuss re-opening it or if anyone has anything relevant they might like to add please send me a PM.
