On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I consumed about 8 grams of APAP on each of days (stupid, I know -- didn't bother with the CWE). I realized this on Tuesday and it's been 72 hours since I last ingested any APAP. I have a VERY mild pain around the liver area since Tuesday that just comes and goes. The pain hasn't gotten any worse since Tuesday. (I have a feeling the pain is psychosomatic.) I have no other symptoms of an overdose. Do you think if it were a toxic overdose that after 72 hours I would be experiencing more symptoms?

I have had apap poisoning and I'll tel you this 1. You can take up to 4000mg of Tylenol a day safely but still bad for uou.. 2. If you had apap poisoning you would def know by throwing up and severe nausea.

When I over did it I was having liver pain and it radiated all over my abdomin and I was throwing up for hours.. And that was on 7000mg in a 17 hour span. Really stupid, I was fiendin and took a bunch of 5mg vicodins...

Your liver is taking a kick right now, I went to te hospital and all they did was give me anti nausea meds. Ad wait it out.... But you should make a doctor appointment for follow up.

In addition to the doctors I'd grab some milk thistle extract. It's supposed to be good for your liver and if your lazy you can buy Rockstar Recoverys, which have milk thistle extract, at your nearest gas station.

It can take a few days for s/s to show up. Go to the emergency room and get checked out. You are wasting time that they could be giving you medication while posting on this forum.

APAP poisoning is worst when your body isn't use to the APAP and you take a bunch in a short period.

People who take low doses and gradually raise the Tylenol dosage over time have better protection through tolerance than someone who dumps 7g of APAP in their system at one time.

Advice go get checked out. Don't do this again. You can not live with out a liver.

KAYLA hit the mark in my book!

Your liver might be swollen and stuff. Shoot when I used to take retarded amounts of apap, my stomach would be tender and painful. Sometimes I even puked. BUT as someone else said: when your liver is straight failing? you are very, very, very very very very sick. To say that is actually an understatement. I doubt you'd be able to go to the bathroom, eat and keep it down, move very much, feel even remotely ok to do anything besides lay in a bed.

"Now Doom," you might ask, "how can you know what liver failure looks like in reality?"

I spent 5 days with a person who was dying of liver failure, as well as watched MY OWN FATHERS liver shut down and get a liver transplant (that obviously was a lot more than 5 days). Yes, I've seen it happen personally 2 times: one a simple 5 days in detox with a man who has since passed away of liver cancer, the other over a period of months as my father succumbed to the disease.

They weren't exactly getting on the computer to post on a forum about it. Mostly sleeping and laying around. Basically since so much depends on your liver, the rest of your body shuts down accordingly.

I'm NOT saying its impossible! In fact I will still advise going to the doctor if youre that concerned: apap overdose is one thing thats a tricky beast, because depending on how your body metabolizes apap (speed, ability to do certain amounts, etc), it could in theory creep up on you a few days later. But, I would put $ on the fact that you are going to be fine. Though I will admit I've lost bets before :\

You might be like me though in the future: whenever I take APAP now, my stomach gets distended, bloated, tender, etc. Justttt like an apap overdose, except i'm fine in every other aspect. My liver no longer likes processing APAP and i dont force him to anymore!
