APAP overdose

most of the apap left your body then... you drank water n threw up all you had in you, you could taste the chemichal taste.... are you dead? no... so 24 hours later stop telling him to go see the doc, ....

PS. to the preachy arsehole... I did get my liver checked about a month ago and its in perfect health so keep your BS to yourself fucktard

If everything is cool then why did you get your liver checked?

And telling someone they fucked up with their usage, telling them they should go tot he hospital is not "preachy". Its common sense.

After ingesting ~7g APAP/day for about a week straight I went to the hospital because of pretty severe stomach pain. There was nothing wrong with my liver, but they discovered "several" ulcers in my duodinum (sp). The doctor said it was actually just a coincidence and that these ulcers developed because of stress. I'm not sure I believe that, though. As far as my hospital stay goes, it cost me about $13,000 for 3 days. All they did for me was give me a couple shots of hydromorphone :) and do an upper endoscopy. What a glorious 22nd birthday!

Wow, I'd seriously go to the doctor like today, a liver is something that's irreplaceable, and you need it to live. You shouldn't be taking chances with shit like that, go to the DR.

I've taken massive amounts more than once. Stupid I know but your only going to hurt your liver when you keep abusing...
I just had my Liver checked and after 3yrs of norcos 10/325 my Liver is in awesome shape..
My Doc said once in awhile isn't going to kill you.
But you should'nt over do it..
So to the OP you are going to be just fine.
Don't worry about it.. If you take that many alot you should get your Liver checked to make sure

He wanted to know what was the best course of action after taking a POTENTIALLY lethal dose of APAP. All you jackasses claiming "oh but I took 500kg of APAP and was fine lulz" don't help anyone, what if he had died, because he took your advice? You would have felt real smart then. The potential for damage/death was there, the smart thing to do would have been to get checked out. You don't need to get all worked up because you were too stupid to preform a CWE and you are missing the point of the forum, harm reduction. Whats potentially more harmful, dying or a pointless trip to the ER?

Think about it.

He's giving sound advice and this person is just looking for someone to say he'll be okay. He took what *could* be a lethal dose, so any reasonable advice is to go to the doctor.

After everything he still said he was confused and asked if anyone could shed some light on the issue. God forbid there be a scientific discussion of anything in this thread. I'd much rather rely on anecdotal personal evidence by a couple of, to put it lightly, fucktards.

I've talked to my doc and he assured me that taking over 4000mgs once shouldn't kill you.
And yes he should get his liver checked, but I don't see where he has to drop everything and rush to the hosiptal.Especially if he is feeling ok..
Everyone including me agrees that thats not a smart thing to do..
Its stupid and I have done ,thats why I talked to my Doc. to see the dangers I have put myself in..
Taking that much over time can def. do you harm

Theres a big difference in "taking over 4000mg" and taking 11,000mg. Would you be saying the same thing if he took 25g simply because "well my doctor said taking over 4000mg once wont kill you?"

I dont see how posts like your fit with the aim of harm reduction in this forum. Telling him to take his sweet time going to the doctor when his liver could be dying is idiotic.

I hope you get banned for posting shit like this. Do you understand that this kid may die because of you and other people comforting him and telling him that he is going to be fine? Sometimes the truth hurts, and you don't know shit just because your doctor "told you it was fine to take 4000mg once".
 
Enough. If the OP wants to be safe he should talk over what he did with his Physician. If your Doctor feels you should have your liver tested, do it. There's no way for anyone here to tell you the extent, if any, of the damage done to your liver.
