of mystic insanity drawing me in,
ever enticing, galvanizing me, inspiring,
slowly responding to my insatiable curiosity,
no match for the terror infecting me,
struggling for coherence in the chaos of experience
and struggling in the ambivalence of
diametrically-opposed philosophies,
determined nonetheless to plow forward,
surf this wave of perplexing oddities, to keep
atop the avalanche of mysteries,
thirsting for validation, verification,
I'll sacrifice fundamental questions
for a few answers, certainly --
or even a few methods to direct this mayhem --
but only through experiencing, as any
other proposed solutions are ultimately arbitrary.
Assertions are less than a dime a dozen,
it costs no sense at all to invest
in blind certitude and I've heard more
than enough good stories lately.
Anything less than knowing
