I'm heading up to brisbane around the end of may/begining of june, is there anythin special happenin around then? I'm actually a queenslander but only discovered beenz and dance music since I moved to sydney so wouldn't have a clue what clubs to go to etc in brissy...
i mainly like deep house, some progressive house and some trance but am generally pretty much easy pleased music wise any suggestions ?
Oh and while up there i'll be going to the state of origin to support the mighty maroons

May, don't know. Paul Van Dyk is playing at Viva in Brisbane on the 7th (to be confirmed, but very likely). He's doing a national tour, for the benefit of non-Brisbanites this are his tour dates :
Wednesday 7th 2000 Viva, Brisbane, Australia tbc
Thursday 8th 2000 The Planet, Adelaide, Australia
Friday 9th 2000 Delirium Perth, Australia tbc
Saturday 10th 2000 Home, Sydney,Australia

awesome i not due to return until the 9th june so i should be able to catch him twice, once in brissy and once in sydney !!!

Well I don't know if you will be here at the very start of may (actually april 30). But if you are, a definite place to go is Adventjah. It will probably be the 2nd biggest Brisbane rave of the year (2nd to Adventjah at the RNA, last year I think there were 7000, any1 can correct for me). Starring will be Binary Finary, Wayne G (Resident), Pete Wardman, Andy Passman, Pee Wee, Paul Holden, etc. Check www.adventjah.com.au for more info.
One thing to defintely do is pick up a street mag (The best one up here is Scene, for dance info anyway). I dont know what is else is going on after the 1st of may. Post again a few days before you leave and you should get a reply. Or mail me. Oh, and also, may 5 is Jera's birthday (bluelighter).
 
Ummm there is no logic Lulu, dropping beans are just fun anywhere

... besides I reckon it would be something new to try, being in a crowd of excited people cheering on their team, would be an awesome atmosphere, everyone gets pumped up for state of origin
