I dunno, I had eaten a lot of shrooms so I knew what I was in for. It still blew my mind though.

Anyone underestimate the power of LSD their first time?

I underestimated the smoothness of the come up.
I was used to crawling around in agony after eating a 1/4 of mushrooms, and to suddenly just be "there" with LSD was very nice indeed.
I was used to crawling around in agony after eating a 1/4 of mushrooms, and to suddenly just be "there" with LSD was very nice indeed.
The first trip was odd.
I had taken a few dozen psychs before acid, including high doses & had some weak blotter once before, so thought I knew what to expect. But LSD was quite different. I remember taking a blotter (they were tested too, it was about 140ug, so nothing massive) & then the next thing I know I'm laying in bed, listening to Shpongle, twirling the long cable for my headphones around & around. I was really focused on the fractals dancing along to spinning wire, beyond that & out of focus in the background of my vision I swear I was in a park. Green trees, a path way, blue skies, the lot. But the illusion faded as soon as I looked up to focus away from the wire.
I've no idea how long I was 'under' just focus on this wire & I've never quite felt like I was in a completely different place on any other psychedelic (except mdma, saliva & ketamine if you want to count those).
