Misc Anyone prescribed Adderall/Ritalin for depression/anxiety?

I take Adderall for my inattentive ADD (basically, I can go to class, pay attention for 15-20 minutes and then I zone out and daydream. I never learn anything and all I can think about is getting out of class). I'm at uni right now but I remember just leaving class around noon in high school because I had no motivation to learn because nothing ever "sunk in". I couldn't study, never really had friends blah blah blah. BUT, Adderall helps a lot but its not a miracle drug. If I workout, eat right(high protein, medium carbs, and low fat diet), and sleep 8hrs every night, that is MY MIRACLE COMBO.

The only problem is the comedown which can be pretty anxiety inducing, especially if you don't eat all day (which is a VERY easy thing to do). Obviously eating will help but there is nothing like a nice benzo for the comedown. A bar of Xanax or any downer basically.

amphetamines cause an influx of norepinephrine in the synapse, causing the "fight or flight" response. generally, stimulants cause anxiety. however, amphetamines could be used to combat depression

Adderall's patent expired back in 2009 didn't it? It's not on the market anymore I believe.
