I've drank the tea a few times and i must say that it's not for me -- too much nausea, vertigo, and inability to focus my eyes. rather nasty, although of course at the same time it feels great.

everyone i've met who's smoked opium has told me it's great, but never seem to mention the side effects. can anyone here with experience in BOTH comment on any differences, and maybe tell me if there is in fact a true biochemical/metabolic reactive difference in these ingestion forms? maybe someday i'll obtain the pods and make opium the old fashioned way and try smoking it then. or not.

thanks TEAM

LOL wish I could answer your question, but here in the UK proper opium is rare as rocking horse shit, dunno why. I can't get hold of it, would love to try it. So it looks like pods for me, which like yourself I both love & hate.

While we're on the subject, black tar heroin is sometimes sold as opium, so be careful. I for one, not having experience with either drug simply wouldn't know the difference.

I supposedly smoked opium once many years ago, but looking back I don't really know what the hell it was, I just know it was black and I felt really good for a few hours.

As far as the opium tea goes, I've found that all the negative side effects go away if you use it regularly. I personally prefer to just grind the pods into a very fine powder and mix it with grapefruit juice and drink it. Lasts alot longer that way and has no negative side effects for me.

If you've only done the tea a few times you might want to experiment a bit more, of course ideally you would just quit all together and avoid this endless cycle of opiate addiction.
