Anyone live or partied in Tel Aviv?

I'm going to be in Tel Aviv for a bit but I know no one there. Anyone have any recommendations for nightlife and parties? I've heard so much about raves on Israeli beaches and all night/day dance parties in Tel Aviv. Any truth to that?
