Anyone like hardcore?

The Red Shore?

No, no, the 'Chord is most certainly a band. I wasn't sure if they were hXc enough and xtuff for this thread ;).

Hell yeah bro.

Ever heard the lyircs to their first album Clients? Some crazy shit heh. The vocalist Guy Kozawykafunnylastname worked graveyard shift at a gas station next to a mental institution.

My favorite "hardcore" band is Converge, when I have relationship troubles I break out "Jane Doe" or "Axe to Fall" & "No Heroes" their recent classics. That pretty much takes care of things, 'nuff said.

^Screamo is the only one I wouldn't lump in there. Bands like Saetia, pg.99, I Would Set Myself On Fire for You, etc. don't fit heh.

^ you seem to be toiling under the impression that the masses haven't already re-assigned "screamo" to mean something else. much like hardcore became "old school hardcore" and got redefined as metalcore kinda ish. shit happens

in a couple of years post-hardcore will become postcore and a few years later postcore will become hardcore again

I'm bumping this, because I am really into Hardcore & Hardcore Punk. Yes I do like a lot of Electronic, but Hardcore was first. I'm also interested to see who else likes it.
Of course you have to start out with the early bands like:

SS Decontrol

MDC: Millions of Dead Cops
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPziK7P-j5I

Jump forward a few years to the present:

Bracewar

No Regrets
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEV25Tqhohs

Slapshot
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qktBPpFRhQE

Down To Nothing

I could go on forever...but I just decided to put a few out there.

This is all good shit.

Trash Talk is my new fave. Thrashy fucking hardcore. Love it.

I`m happy to find that some one else mentioned Converge! I been into those dudes since about 2001-2002. I just got around to buying Jane Doe,You Fail Me and Axe to Grind on vinyl. It`s awesome.

Hardcore is kinda hard to define. I love early Every Time I die,Poison the Well,Blood Brothers,Thursday,Glassjaw,The Locust.Genghis Tron, Dillinger Escape Plan,Hatebreed and a ton more. One persons hardcore is an others hardcore punk Power violence, metalcore or grind. Kind of convoluted.

edit: I saw Trash Talk along with Envy last year. Fucking awesome. Makes me want to buy Emperor bass cabs.

Hey Bob. You pretty much made my music boner rip thru my pants by name dropping Saetia and pg.99
Majority Rule was also a great band that did a split or 2 with pg.99

Years back the band I was in did a cover of One Dying Wish. It was a blast.

Hardcore is still my life!!!...16 yrs after gettin into it. From Bad brains and Minor threat, to Madball and 25 Ta life, to Hatebreed and Full blown Chaos. Gets me through the day, gets me pumped to ski and ride my bike, motivates me to stay vegetarian and positive, in this often shitty world...Right now I'm really digging Stick To Your Guns. And I'm going to see The Warriors in Vancouver in six days!!!

Bad brains was great, i have most of their vinyl. I hated 25 ta life though, rick is a fucking retard.

Went to the hardcore matinee at CBGB many times throughout high school, fun times.
