Anyone know if the Italian or Nether. Govt will test pills for you? I heard this.....

My dad was telling me how in the newspaper or something that the Italian government has began testing pills for persons to find out what substances are in them. I think I heard that the Netherlands has done this program also. Does anyone know?

Here in the Netherlands, there are several organizations that in fact can test pills/ powders for their chemical composition. This5 costs a small amount of money (E 2,50 in the case of the Jellinek Institute). I believe Trimbos tests drugs too, but more to issue general warnings about strong/ dangerous pills. There's other testlabs too. There used to be mobile testing units at raves/ festivals too but afaik these have been banned. Haven't seen them in a long while at least. The institutes mentioned are not necessarily government owned but are semi-public organizations to my knowledge.
