I recently found a new technique for making cannaoil that takes about 10 minutes total from start to finish, and then can be eaten straight or made into edibles! This works INCREDIBLY well (to the point that the first time I tried it I got TOO DAMN HIGH in a bad way, and I've been a daily smoker for years) and is much quicker than the other methods for making cannaoil that I've read about.
First, you break your nugs up into smaller popcorn nugs about 3cm in diameter. Stick them in the microwave for 1 minute at a time until they're dry enough to crumble between your fingers. The microwave decarboxylates the THCA into THC, a process which I don't even begin to understand, and is possibly the most important step. Make sure to watch the microwave for smoke, if you do it for too long they CAN burn a little bit. I usually do four sessions of 1 minute a piece. After the microwave, simply crumble the nugs into a frying pan and cover with just enough oil (i use olive oil, you can use lard, butter, coconut, etc) to submerge the buds. Fry on medium-high until it starts smoking, while stirring the bud around in the oil. When it starts smoking, don't freak out, just pull it off the pan and tip the pan to one side till the oil pools in the corner, it'll make it stop smoking more quickly. I usually fry it till it starts smoking 3 times, or as long as it takes for the bud to turn a deep, dark brown or black color. Typically about 5 minutes of frying.
You're going to FEEL like something's wrong but don't freak out, everything's gonna be ok!
When your bud and oil is a nice dark brown/black, pull it off the stove and pour the oil into a container. And you're done! You could cook with this if you'd like, but I typically just eat it straight and chase with water, after a meal.
It's a great way to make quick, single dose edibles and it'll keep you high all day long. I typically use about 1 to 1.5g's of good bud, eat it around 10:30 in the morning, am absolutely soaring by 12:30pm, and don't have to smoke till well after 8:00 and even then I'm still high, I'd just like to be higher
