Anyone heard of this? The article claims it to be more addictive than crack, but says its crack with gasoline, keresone and quicklime, but then says its not known what it is. Also its hallucinogenic? Is this just public media being public media and not knowing what the fuck its talking about. It seems like its just crack.

Yes. It seems to be nothing new. This is similar (if not the same) as Bazuco which is just the crude coca paste (very crude and impure form of cocaine base) that is part of the process in manufacturing cocaine. Basically, if you follow the steps of turning coca leaf into cocaine, getting this product (bazuco/oxi/coca paste) is one of the earliest steps. The coca past is then further processed into much purer cocaine freebase powder/crystal and then even further processed to cocaine HCL. They say that it contains gasoline, kerosene, and lime.. all of which are agents used in manufacturing cocaine (slight variations exists amongst labs of course). I doubt they are purposely adding the kerosene, gasoline, and lime to this paste and then selling it. The paste already contains (most likely) all 3 of those chemicals from the manufacturing process. When the coca paste is sent to be further purified into powder cocaine those chems are removed (well.. mostly removed ;)

Most of the coca paste is sent to other labs to be turned into cocaine HCL but some of the coca paste is diverted to the streets and sold "as is" to poor amazonian crackheads. I would bet my life that the hallucinations are due to the gas and kerosene. I doubt they are "psychedelic" in nature. I know people that have huffed gas (assholes? Yes) and reported hallucinations.
