This happened a couple years ago, but seeing that I am now finally a member of bluelight I thought I'd ask.
When I went to bed I experienced a loud hummming or buzzing sound. It seemed like it was part of the meditation stage where you get so far that things start humming. I've never experienced that on its own but I have meditated regularly in the past before (and done yoga) so I have so understanding of the way consciousness can alter itself. (plus quite a bit of psychedelic drug experience).
Also I felt this energy flowing through my body and I had this sense of anticipation as if something was about to happen. I've had sleep paralysis before as well as multiple false awakenings and I've been able to "walk" around my house in my dreams so I wonder if my brain chemistry is just messed up? I was on a high dose of vicodin at the time when the humming happened.
I've also experienced an increased chance of getting sleep paralysis when high and the likelihood for me to experience auditory hallucination also increases. Sometimes I can tell when I will have sleep paralysis/an interesting night and when I'm high I think it increases the chance. I get kinda scared when high because my brain feels so malleable.... it almost makes me feel paranoid. <---- not sure if this makes total sense.
Anyone felt weird bedtime type stuff from opiates? The hummm only happened once, and I'd practically JUST laid down when it happened and frigthened/fascinated me a lot.
