Misc Anyone had good experience's with Gabapentin/Neurontin?

I was recently perscribed gabapentin for muscle spasms. Doc started me on 300mg a day I ended up on 2700mg a day and it did nothing except give me gas. Even when I took 3000mg in one go I just felt a bit odd. Has anyone had good experience's on it?
