Anyone get Cranky/Angry when not on Opiates?

Still an addict?

Early on in my opiate use there was no comedown, just what one might call an "afterglow".
This is something that I've experienced, but not early on. I was dependent for about 2 years, and have recently kicked. My useage now is very infrequent. I haven't shot dope in two weeks. In the last month I've used heroin 4 times and Oxy once. These last few times I used, I've experienced a strange day after. I'm totally full of energy and of high spirits. This will stay with me for the remainder of the day, and I'm back no normal the day after. No sickness, just a lil disappointed that it's over.

I recall PhreeX speaking of using opiates as an anti-d. This afterglow could be a lot of things. Perhaps the lingering effects of the drug is correcting some type of endogenous opiate imbalance that I've always had or created. Something funny about my useage is that I've never had the desire to nod out and drool all over myself, but moderate doses made me feel more like myself.

There's no damn doubt about it. It's almost spooky. 10 mg of hydrocodone and I'm a teddy bear; 20 mg and I'm Santa Claus and Mother Teresa all rolled up into one. That's all it takes. Fuck SSRIs, let's just down-schedule the opioids!=D

I tend to get easily aggitated while ON opiates. Sometimes when I dose with opiates, I don't want to be bothered and little things can get me pissy. Of course, the aggravation is fleeting, cuz I feel too good to be bothered with being pissed off.

The few days after a week long "binge", I will be easily pissed off to though.

Does anyone else get easily aggravated while on opiates? Most people just like to step into their own world and enjoy it, and when people mess with this world, it's easy to see how one can get pissed.

The day after I use codeine I have a warm feeling inside and feel good, lasts for about half a day! :\

Of course if you are taking opiates regularly, youre not gonna be in a very good mood when you dont have any. Its part of that feind that wants one thing and one thing only= your fix. If anyone tries to make small talk, talk to you about your day, etc., you are gonna give them some shit. Its part of withdrawal, fool.

I have had many of the same experiences in which opiates relieve depression or make me feel more like myself. Unfortunately its short lived due to the comedown/crankiness etc. Tramadol however I find is pretty useful when used as an Anti-depressant. One small does at 2:00 PM can leave me feeling positive for the rest of the day. And for me, tolerance never develops. Just a thought.
