Anyone familiar with what "doing a push" from a crack pipe means?

If u can save it ur h amazed how good the bit is for a first hit
also put clean gauze in it tastes

I've been dabbling in crack cocaine a little more than usual lately, and I'm sure I still qualify as a n00b.

My more experienced friends have mentioned on multiple occasions about doing a "push." It involves moving the brillo around in the pipe to somehow be able to smoke the residue that has gotten stuck in the pipe.
But can anyone elaborate more for me on how to do this exactly" maybe step by step?

Also:
How often should you change out the brillo in a crack pipe?
And:
How do you know when it is time to change the brillo?
Finally:
HOW exactly do you change the brillo?

Any other tips would be appreciated!

Agreed. Also, I wanted to mention this because I feel like a lot of people have never had anyone to show them how to smoke properly. One thing is the Chore Boy…try to get the name brand stuff and always lightly burn off the copper til it’s slightly charred. You should still see a little of the copper don’t completely torch it …i actually have a crazy story about someone burning up the chore too much before putting in pipe. Anyway- here’s the thing: make sure you use about 1/4 inch-ish of chore, do not pack it in there too tight leave room for air. If you don’t use enough chore when smoking out of a glass pipe, it will get super hot. This is why people burn lips fingers, etc. I’ve never burned myself from my pipe getting too hot. Don’t leave chore too loose either or you’ll inhale it. Thankfully I’ve never done that either. Try to burn it low and slow. Burning up the rock with direct heat it such a waste…
