Heroin Anyone ever used pharmaceutical grade heroin?

I was in a thread talking about this earlier and decided to start a new thread about it. I saw a tv documentary recently about Sweden ( I think), I know it was somewhere in Europe though, to combat all the heroin OD deaths, they decided to open a govt clinic where local addicts could come in and be given free H, new needle, lighter, and they had little private booths where they could use, but could not hang out, once they used, they had to leave, I believe a person could receive a free hit 3 times a day. These addicts were always hanging around this building too! (I think I would too though), most of them looked to be homeless.

BUt anyway, the H they were giving out was liquid, clear as water, pharmaceutical grade H...In all my years, I have never even seen pharmaceutical grade H, Im curious if anyone has ever used it, and what it is like? I bet is also pretty pricey!

I may be wrong, but someone told me Heroin is approved for some medical use in Europe, so this probably would explain it,but still, youd think at least some of this would be in the US...right?

I wonder how hard it would be to make it if someone had the poppy plants?

Nope, never seen it in the states, never heard of anyone here getting it. Maybe if you found someone over 100 years old, they might remember, but I doubt it. As for making it, synthesis discussions arent allowed here, but if you had the raw materials, it wouldnt be terribly hard.

Now, I have used pharma grade hydromorphone, which many doctors here inaccurately call "synthetic heroin", and it is NOT as good as crushing a pill and banging it, because afaik it only come as strong as 4mg/ml. It was HIDEOUSLY expensive to buy that amp too (cant say how much, no price discussion allowed either), but without going into specifics, anything made to be injected is gonna cost more than anything made to be eaten.

I believe its switzerland you are thinking of. I coutesy dosed at a methadone clinic there and witnessed this pharm H being shot up.

AFAIK germany, holland switzerland have heroin prescrition in practise. Belgium prescribes morphine slow release tablets. UK has a trial heroin prescribing scheme for around 100 addicts. Private doctors there are allowed to prescribe any opiate on tgeir registery for opiate replacement therapy except for heroin and diconal.

Ithink other EU countries are beginning to follow suit.

Yes. And it is ridiculous how small a dose you need compared to market. Even if you get 'good gear' - it's about 5:1.

yeah - it's funny - first time I ever had this grade, I thought it was crap, but about 15min later I realised I was more stoned than I'd ever been (since having a habit any way). I've had multiple times and there is almost no rush - but you get mighty stoned after a little creep-up period.

EDIT: In my experience, morph is really 'rushy' but it wears off almost immediately - gear heavily cut with morph always seems like really good gear when you bang it, because of the strong rush, but about 5 minutes later you realised you've been ripped off. Clean H is the opposite - you shoot and assume it's bunk then after a little while you realise it is super fucking strong.

Yeah there are a couple countries in Europe, mainly Switzerland and the Netherlands, that have HAT (heroin assisted treatment). It's been really successful. But, the programs are not anywhere near big enough, for there to be any actual diversion, where it would hit the streets. You go in and dose right there with the nurses.. you don't get to take it with you to use at home.

They are given a few injections of heroin a day, and sometimes are given small doses of methadone in between so they don't get sick.

I can't imagine how great that shit would be, hah. IV'ing pharm grade heroin like that has to be a whole nother level.

I went to the GGD in Amsterdam where they give HAT. The heroin patients come in twice or three times a day. Their life revolves around the GGD. No take homes and only the hard core addicts are given heroin. You also must be a Dutch citizen. I was lucky enough to get in the methadone program, but it was a special circumstance, normally they don't allow non-Dutch into the GGD at all. There are several armed guards at the door with metal detectors. They weaned me off meth and on to sub...and I jumped off sub a yr ago.
Life is so much better now that I don't have to worry about my daily fit. I'm 56 and spent most of my life chasing dope...if I could go back and do it all over again, I'd never touch opiates!!

Yeah, man not having to worry about copping ever day, coming up with cash, being sick, etc, really is such a relief. Living that life is so exhausting and taxing on both your body and mind. It's like finally being able to breathe after holding your breath in for what seemed like an eternity.

Yea, I know what you mean, once I found out what an opiate high was, there is no going back! Even if someone quits for years, they still remember what that high felt like and i imagine its extremely hard to remain clean, especially during shitty days...knowing your day could get a whole lot better real quick and easy!

I have non-user friends who dont understand my addiction, they tell me to JUST STOP using and think its so simple, but I tell them all the time, they dont understand opiate addiction and have no idea what the feeling is like, or the w/d feeling and what it can make a person do. They think its simple as putting it down and not touching it again...YEA RIGHT!!

Regarding the HAT program ...I wonder how hard it is to become a Dutch citizen, coming from the US?!!! LOL

i wonder with these people going to heroin clinics, do they shoot it, get high and just fall asleep or is it a dose just enough to keep them from getting sick?i remember my heroin usig days, towards second half of my addiction, i would just shoot and then nod/sleep..thats all there was to it, not exactly a fun or productive way to live..

The weird thing is, most Dutch addicts tend to smoke off foil. Some shoot, but most smoke. They give them just enough to feel ok. They come in looking nervous and jittery, and go out calm and smiling. They alway smoke a cig the minute they get outside...
Having to come back to the clinic two or three times a day must suck..

Everytime Ive smoked it, it has been good...the only negative is it doesnt kick you real quick like shooting it, but it comes on slowly, and usually when I smoke it, I can still feel it hours later, sometimes as long as 5-6hours!

Plus, Ive heard it is VERY bad for your lungs to smoke it, not so much the dope, but you never know what its cut with, so you could be smoking anything...I dont really care about that though, as long as the high is good!

yeah i hated going to the methadone once a day much less having to go 3 times..your life would still completely revolve around heroin, you are just getting it for cheaper..sounds like the addicts are going thru very minor withdrawals every time they step into the heroin clinic..shitty way to live, better off just staying on higher dose of methadone..
