How do you use it?
Do you smoke it?
Do you put it in a tea?

What are the dangers of this.

Its description has been mildy euphoric and makes you sleepy.
Anyone else care to share ???

Not to get high, or anything per say, But more to calm nerves and make a good nights sleep easily achievable even in rough times?

1 personal account of use of red poppies

The most important thing to note is that these all go on about using the Red Petals in particular.
Which can be dried, they make a fairly unharsh smoke too

Resurrected this thread,
Anyone else use these plants to make an infusion / tea ?
I found it effective for treating insomnia with personally

Corn poppy (the plant, not the petals) has glaucine derivatives in it and I believe some compounds like nuciferine (seen in the blue lotus)... it's a mild sedative/hallucinogen and (I belive) anti-dopaminergic agent. I think it also has mild activity at 5-HT1 receptors too.

I don't think cornpoppy has any actual opiates like thebaine, codeine, morphine, oripavine in it though.

The petals, according to pubmed, have only anthocyanins and no appreciable level of alkaloids. They act as a mild sedative. refs

Thank you Sekio,

I notice when i make an infusion with the petals, (Hot water for 15 minutes)

I experience a mild euphoria, Only if used say, once a week,
If used every day, the euphoria feels lesser.

I had a bad comedown/ depression from using mxe + ketamine combo, i was suicidal and felt extremely depressed for 6 days and i was beginning to think it wouldnt go away, but i drunk 1 of 2 teabags worth i had left ( 1 teaspoon equivalent) and i felt the mild euphoria, and i was no longer depressed, and went to sleep well.

It is very effective for sleep. I notice that i have a strong dream from it every time i take it, which means deep sleep right?

all out now, will have to wait till summer time, im gonna stock up on it lol.
