I don't think that to be weird - I also get highly stimulated by opiates. I have 15mg of roxicodone left, and if I sniffed or ate that now I wouldn't fall asleep for at least 2-3 more hours, where I think I could just hop in bed now if I wanted to and knock out for the night (it is quarter past 1..).

It's 12 something here.... I'm pretty tired myself. Probably fall asleep soon... I'm on my Phone in bed lol

Roxie inhaventbhad one of those in foreer

Haha, I'm wide awake playing w/ a music mixer / futzing around online haha, not tired enough yet.

I browse the forums from my phone, but can't remember my password and am logged in from my main comp which saves login info, so I can't post anything from it hahaha ahh well.

IV dillies huh, damn. Haven't ever gotten / had that before. Was offered fentanyl from a friend, but I don't do needles and thus declined. Sniffing dilaudid is quite a let down in comparison from what I hear (and was in general too...)

I actually had a problem with going to the doctors or ERto get shots. I never banged myself... I was in the hospital for two weeks. Conned my way in and they kept my on IV fillies for two weeks and it was freakin great. To bad I can't remember shit. For real nothing :) I just remember repeating I'm so fucked up.

Hahahaha, you posted about the feather boa in here :D

Conned your way in, eh? Sly. ;)

I personally hate needles. Almost pass out and / or vomit every time I get blood drawn. Horrible experience for me. Last time I even got chided for not telling them I wasn't good w/ needles. ...I told literally every nurse / person / anyone that I talked to that I hated needles.. /smh

Lol the boa. :)

Yea when I was using I was really good at always getting what I wanted... I could play a really good young girl with a Hurt something and every time I got IV dill crazy how available they make it. Good for me tho lol..

I do however really do have pain.. I think using opiates fucked up my receptors because my pain tolerance is out te window. I am always in some pain. Especially with the ridiculous suboxone pain. Its 1230 and already my fingers are starting to cramp up. I wake up stuff as a board. I can hardly move my arms and it's so very painful. Right now it's already started and I can't make a fist or completely straighten my hand out. But f I take the stupid sub ill never sleep.. Hate it...

That's crazy the way needles freak you out. I jut sit there waiting for the nurse carrying a syringe with anticipation lol my eyes are widened at the site :) I wish I didn't know what it felt like...

Getting a taste for the good stuff in life only makes it that much better when you do get it. Just can't make drugs the only good stuff (found that the hard way...)

Sorry to hear you're in pain like that, that's awful. :( You really do need something better than suboxone for this. I don't understand why your doc is giving it to you if you're not purposefully detoxing anyway - it's only recently been approved for pain use, and not heavy pain at that. As far as I know, it was only Rx'd off-label for pain until quite recently.

This doctor seems to have weird rules.

He told me for one I will need it for ten years straight.

Two- in order to get off he will increase me to the highest dose and then quit me cold turkey. What the fuck I'm trying to get off now.

Oh lord, get a new doctor. Suboxone is for SHORT TERM use. Yikes. I tapered in 5 days from 60mg/day oxy habit down to nothing...

Long term use is going to leave you depressed and feeling like you're WD'ing forever... taper down and get out while you can!

I think so to. I'm looking.

Im glad I'm not the only one who things his ways are crazy. He has had my mother in law on it for years already the is goo to be screwed... She thinks she needs to be on it 15 years.

The doctor goes by how long you did drugs cut it in half depending on your situation and then that's the years you need subs. He told me a different length every time I go he is ridiculous...

Does he have alzheimers or something? His method for "calculating" how long your schedule is to be is asinine at best, and potentially quite harmful at worst...

Subs are absolutely not for long term use! WD from that is going to be the worst thing imaginable, and I'd honestly recommend getting a low-grade opiate just to get off subs... I've only used subs to quickly taper a spiraling downward habit to nil, and then maintain a very low use until my life turns around a bit and allows me to stop needing to use.

Good luck! <3

Thanks. He Probably does have something wrong with him.

I know it's going to be horrible I stopped for two days last week to see if I could do it, but I couldn't walk or even talk so i gave in.

Instead of just outright stopping, slowly start cutting your dose down (taper). Rather than just shocking your body, the gradual process will be much easier on the body. The final step will still be tough, but it won't be nearly as bad as now.

The months after will also take some work to get back into the swing of things / get over the "suboxone blues" but you can do it! :)

Thank you :) I am all the way down to a half a day so that's 4mg a day my doctor wanted me takin te full 8mg three times a day... I can't take that tho because of the pain. Ya know...

I just really didn't know if I could taper cause my doctor had me believe the most efficient was was to increase until I hit a ceiling effective dose...and then just quit.

I kept arguing with him how that didn't seem like the best... But he told me word for word "do I need to draw you a picture"

What an asshole. I have done enough research.. Ya know..

Anyways I'm on te right track I'm already down...

I'm sorry, but he's a bloody fool.

That's the same as telling someone to kick a heroin habit by getting up to shooting 4 bags a day, then to quit cold turkey "because that's how it's designed"... What a bloody fool.

4mg is good, try to get down to 2mg in 2 weeks. You'll notice with your doses that you actually "feel something" when you take them. You'll actually come down from buzzing for a bit from the Suboxone, and when you take your next dose you'll feel a little high. Only happens below 2mg though. I find 1-1.5 perfect for this effect (maintenance with a benefit ;)).

Thank you. I am going to take just 2 mg today... It's been about 1 half weeks of the 4mg now and I want this over with so I'm going to try 2 mg today... I haven't taken it yet...Because I gag the entire time it's dissolving :(

Because it has such a long half-life, your built-up dose is much higher than 2mg in your blood-stream. I bet if you start waiting as long as you can throughout the day, then taking a slightly smaller dose each day (and eventually skipping a day), you'll be off 'em in no time. <3

Gagging because of meds blows. :( I used to have to take something for allergies or some crap back in the day, and it tasted of chalky bananas and would make me bust out with hives...
