Anyone else not affected by serotonergic drugs?

Hey guys,
is there ANYONE else who is fully not affected by serotonergic drugs like MDMA, LSD, Mushrooms, Mephedrone and so on? Dopaminergic substances do work, but not the first ones. They are/were all definitely pure and other people love the stuff like hell.
Does anybody know the reason? I don't do SSRIs or something like that but I did a few months ago. Since then I tried LSD, Mushrooms, MDMA, XTC, but nothing works for me I put 4 week breaks between each try.
That's so frustrating.

None of those drugs work on me and ive been told two things, that its either the SSRI drug im on or the anti-psychotic drug i take but ever since i went on the SSRI (paxil) ive never gone back to having normal rolls on E or not at all

If you were on an SSRI a few months ago it could still be affecting you. How long were you taking it? Do you take any other drugs on a regular basis? Did you get normal effects from these types of drugs before you went on the SSRI?

An excess of serotonin receptors could be a cause for serotonergic drugs not working. It could be a natural excess or one brought about by taking anti-depressants. But all of these drugs do more than just affect serotonin, so one would think you should still get some sort of effects.

Street drugs are almost never pure, so there is no way you can say they were "definitely pure". But if you took the exact same drug with other people and they got noticeable effects (that were not explainable by placebo effect or exaggeration) then that means you must have something different about your brain or metabolism.

I agree with the poster above. You should be feeling at least something which means, in your case:

- The drugs you are getting are bunk
- You are taking too small doses
- You are using other drugs/meds which block their effects (e.g. antipsychotic, benzos, alcohol)
- You are still suffering from the SSRI withdrawal which coupled with the above 3 would be the only reason that would make sense.

All those drugs you mention are very potent and will yield effects, even if only negative, unless you are doing as per the above 4 points.

Yes, I only feel the negative and no positive effects. That was meant by "being not affected".
And I do not take any other drugs.

I took various SSRI's for about a year, and about 6 months after stopping use I took shrooms and had a great trip. I had never tried MDMA before I took SSRI's, and I have tried rolling many times since, and the best feeling I have ever got was a slightly good body feeling, and being a little more talkative. No strong feelings of empathy, enhancement of lights, or super-orgasm feelings that all of my other friends report. And this is almost 2 years after stopping SSRI's. I believe certain SSRI's permanently affect the way serotonin works in your brain, and your ability to benefit from it.
