Anyone else listen to the "Leftie drivel" ?

i thought he dug himself out of a hole very well above there, but you've lost me with that last post brimz, probably particularly because i dont really get or like hip hop im afraid. When John Peel used to play it, it was all about people bombing up their own egos and going on about how awesome they were. Just dont get it im afarid.

You must look beyond the surface as words n phrases often have more than one meaning n& one track can tell a whole story but it's not something you just clock over night .

If you are brainy enough & really want to then it shouldn't be beyond capabilities ?

Narh its just not me apart from the most commercial end of it, but i dont doubt some of them have a proper message other than 'ive got a gun, im cool and hard as fuck, and youd better stay away from my woman' lol, just winding you up, i know thats an ignorant interpretation of the stuff.

Don't get it twisted MDB this ain't about you or me it's somehow ( i have ) turned it into a thing about how people listen to lyrics in Songs & to what ends .

i get pj harvey allright, im a big fan, im an 'indie kid' at heart, but that is morphing into "Adult Orientated Rock" too as i get older. Im not getting anyhting twisted, just saying that i dont understand hip hop, in the same way i dont understand 'jungle'. I didnt even like techno/trance until the first time i took speed or an E, and that completely changed that. I was very much a traditional 'its not proper music if its not got a drummer, 2 guitarists, a bassist, and a singer' until then.

Jungle Or Drum & Bass aren't lyrically based though are they listen .
