Anyone? Even if I try to think i CANT, it's scary and I feel like im the only one. Like literally, it feels like my brains fried I CANNOT think, even if I try. I have no internal dialouge.

Anyone feel me? Whats your experience

I think that's a, normal 'high stress' response which can be set in motion by innumerable stressors. Withdrawal, fear, regret, lack of sleep. Pretty much anything. I know I have felt like that.

It's probably less common to feel it all it much of the time, so if you do, I'd seek out some mental counseling.

I think I know what you are saying/what you mean. I feel like that a lot of the time. In addition to the above reply/comment: Do you find that you are overall possibly 'depressed' ? (I mean, not that you FEEL depressed, but that perhaps you fit the criteria for depression - as I imagine you don't 'feel' much of anything... hence, that you are possibly depressed.

I agree - this often coexists with things like high stress (constant/continual), withdrawal, heavy drug use, lack of social life (or lack of ANY part of life that is important to you), etc. Tell me more about your general self... or, tell US more. Do you have a drug use history, a family history that may be telling... etc.?

Yeah, it's definitely something I feel from time to time but not ALL the time. How long have you been feeling like that? Is it consistently, or on and off? And what's your history of drug use?

I feel like that sometimes. Usually, for me, its either cause I am really tired, have been focusing on something tweaky and repetitive(like writing code) for too long, or the result of a binge.

Have you slept good recently? Been eating well? cold/flu?

Is this new? How long has it been happening for?

If its just really recent, I'd not worry, I'd just grab a shower, some food and rest up.
If it has been going on for a while, have a look at your lifestyle and see if you notice anything odd or that might stress you out or exhaust you. Maybe consider seeing your doc and having a look taken to see if you have any physical health conditions, as that can cause fogginess.

Yes unfortuneately I do have a history of drug abuse.

14 months ago I finished rolling 10 times in 4 months averaging about 20 pills.

During my last two experiences I was knocked out, and then the next one a week later I went through a breakup with my gf and had a HORRIBLE trip. Had insomnia after that for about 6 months, and non stop anxiety, flashbacks, social withdrawl and suicidal ideation. I was diagnosed with PTSD, but for some reason I think its permanent brain damage from rolling a week after a concussion.

But to answer your question, yes i'm most definately depressed over my situation, i'm still in uni but my mind use to always have thoughts going through it, now theres nothing. I'm numb to the world, and my depression isn't the "im down, and I feel to sad/heavy to move depression" its the "I dont feel anything, i feel like an unhuman robot, and nothing matters" kind of numb depression.

I'd rather feel sad, atleast then id be feeling something. ANd i am going to a therapist, and I tried ssris they never did much.

Ah I think the Ecstasy use could definitely explain this. A few years back I fell into it pretty hard myself, rolling at least twice a week for a good 4-5 months. This culminated with an OD where I took 8 really good pills in one night and almost died. I was DEFINITELY fucked up, spaced out, depressed for a good while but after abstaining for a year I feel basically 100% again. Have you ever taken it again since then? And has this been going on for the entire 14 months, or is it new?

I think he answered his own question. He is depressed, which causes that feeling.

Sucks that SSRI's did not work... but usually, any given SSRI only works in about 1/3rd of people who take it. Have you tried a few of them? How about tricyclics or mirtazapine, etc... go talk to your Dr and see if you can get an effective treatment.

Oh really? Thats kind of heavy use, mine was like once every two weeks usually 1-2 cheap pills.

Yes I used about 6 months or more ago, that was my last time since summer of 2010.. This has been going on for 14 months straight, it's pretty brutal.

I dont think I can handle living my life like this after knowing what I use to be like.. What pisses me off is that I know people who've done WAY more than me and are fine, but my little binge fucked me. Mind you I've rolled about 45 times in the past 6 years but very sparingly, never as bad as 2 summers ago.

Yeah, but even when i'm feeling better I still feel burnt out and not as high functioning.

The main thing keeping me down is that I can't connect with even my closest friends anymore.
