Anyone else hate 4/20?

Okay, have no idea how to calculate different hemispheres and latitudes and shit....but it just turned 1:13 AM here in Central US time.....

So, I guess that answers my question about who was posting "Happy 4/20" 16 hours ago! It was the fuckin Aussies! Apologies to the SE asians!
 
4/20 was big in high school. i smoke any day of the week, any time of the day lol. 4/20 is for those like once a month smokers. zomg 4/20 i gots to have mah mary joo wannas
 
i used to be all for 420 back in the day, actually got kicked out of school my freshman year for smoking on 420 at school lol i was in rehab for 2010 420. 2011 420 was the last one i really celebrated cuz i wasnt in my house anymore and was at a friends house. we both had off work and we just stayed home and smoked a ridicolous amount of weed and ate edibles and by 9 am we were burnt but just kept getting high. know for a fact ive never consumed that much weed in one day lol

i didnt really celebrate last year cuz i had work. i also had work this year but it was half of day. i smoked a lot of kief and dank at work and made it a point ot smoke a little more then usually but i definetly wasnt excited like the last 420 i celebrated. i also smoked some kief at 4:20 and got more for later.

overall yeah i was sorta excited but wasnt overexcited. just smoked a little more then usual and made up some kief which i only do once in a while. shit, i was more excited about the opiates then i was with the weed.
 
It never pissed me off, and I never found an increase of "amateurs" smoking whatever that means. Doesn't bother me if I miss it, but I'm not above celebrating it either.

I prefer Bicycle Day.
 
This was the first 4/20 that I actually packed a bowl. My friend just happened to be in the neighborhood and stocked with some of the dankest herb in town!
I figured "Fuck it! Let's do 420 right this year!"

Not sure if I plan on celebrating next year's 420. Hopefully by the time next year rolls around, I'll have my own place and be able to celebrate 420 twice a day.....everyday! :D
 
4/20 is not so much a time where you make a point of smoking as it is a chance to get together, celebrate and draw attention to ongoing legalization efforts. The media, particularly Fox News for example, likes to portray it as a pointless smoke out but really that's not the point of it for many people. Like people say, you smoke up to 364 of the other days of the year so it would be pointless otherwise.
 
I used to not give a shit about 4/20, but since the legalization movement is strengthening it means more to me now. I hope one day I don't have to worry about being locked up for indulging in a little pot, but here in Oklahoma - we're a LOT different than our neighbors in CO. I've spent nights in jail + $1000's for a few seeds and stems that were on the floorboard of my car! So, I say 4/20 is kind of a day of hope! Lol that last part sounded gay! I'm baked
 
4/20 is my birthday - so hard not to enjoy it haha. That being said this was the first time in 8 years or so that i didn't get baked, stopped smoking pot for good 3 months ago.

Thanks man, but i had been smoking weed everyday since i was 13 and i turned 21 this year. I just wanted to get it out of my life. It is not physically addictive but i was so addicted to the effects of it, i would have to smoke weed to have fun pretty much. When i ran out i would find myself getting grumpy, i wouldhave to blaze before any event in my life (watching a movie, going to dinner, before playing football and even just before going to sleep). Since i am done will university in a month and will be starting work, i just decided that i didn't want to be 30 and still smoking weed everyday after work. I really want to be able to smoke everynow and again with my friends (like once a month or so) so that i can actually enjoy being high, but right now if i did that i would find myself hitting up my dealer the next day - i am sure of it.

Hope you all enjoyed your 4/20, wish i could still smoke responsibilty. :(
 
I used to smoke every single day for 2yrs straight, smoked all day every 420. But I havent smoked in almost a year, i just suddenly stopped. Didnt like it anymore. I pretty much forgot this 420 until i went on FB.

So i think it just gives ppl a reason to smoke and talk about smoking etc.
 
they're almost as annoying as the people who try to be cool by talking down on 4/20.

that being said I don't really do anything special or need an excuse to get high ever so im pretty indifferent to the whole concept but I don't turn down getting smoked up and that is more likely to happen on 4/20 so sure im all about it sometimes I guess.
 
I feel like a curmudgeon for being anti-420 since I enjoy smoking weed but I really don't know how else to express the fact that I find a seemingly random series of numbers or a day (or time) revolving around said set of numbers completely insignificant.
 
its probably the most official thing potheads have managed to organize around the world tbh, you can't deny that

This is true, but I feel like the vast majority of people around the world who consume cannabis are not accomplishing anything on 4/20 besides smoking more weed than they usually would.
