So there is an otc pill called lomotil. Well its otc for Aussies I believe anyway. It contains diphenoxylate which is supposed to work like other opioids. But lomotil also contains Atrophine, which is supposed to discourage mis-use of these pills as the atrophine has nasty side effects.

I have read how some people say 20-30 of these pills and they get a good buzz. I Also read some people saying these pills do nothing for them. The most interesting thing I read was that diphenoxylate is only slightly soluble in water and atrophine is really soluble in water. So theres a possibility of a reverse cold water extraction.

My question is has anyone experimented with this??? If so, how exactly did you perform this extraction???

Well if what you say about the solubilities of the drugs is correct then I would think a reverse CWE would indeed be your best bet

I would attempt a low dose cwe, slowly damping up the dose to see which effects are felt: opioid or anticholergenic. I'm not sure what dosage the atropine and diphenoxylate can be felt, so go very slow with dosing.

these are the doses

DIPHENOXYLATE HYDROCHLORIDE 2.5mg
ATROPINE SULFATE 23 MICROGRAM

apparently the dose of atropine is so small people dont really notice its affects at 20 pills. So to make the extraction worth it I was thinking around 50 pills. But this could be dangerous if the extraction doesn't work properly.

Got this from the wikipedia of your product: "The 25 µg of atropine present in each 2½ mg Lomotil tablet is 1/40 of the standard therapeutic dose of atropine via the oral route for normal anticholinergic uses."

Does this mean you could take 40 pills without any adverse effects? Only normal anticholinergic effects?

I actually used to perform this extraction quite frequently, doesn't mean it's safe. This thread should answer any questions.

Just to clarify, this isn't the typical CWE, one must consume the solid, not the liquid.
