SWIM is on cymbalta and wants to partake in the weekend festivities however after hours of research SWIM found that almost every post screamed "FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS PLUR DONT DO IT." But the people posting never had a personal experience with it. SWIM understands the science behind the SSRI and SNRI but would like to hear about a personal experience. SWIM tried before on Celexa and was told nothing would happen in a million years BUT (after the addition of one alcoholic beverage) had a fantastic time with no come down. So please if You or SWIY feels comfortable sharing there's good karma coming your way, Thank you!

Ps. Sorry if this is the wrong category! I didn't think it went under the prevention

Thank you! Is there anyway you could direct me to those anecdotes? If not no worries I understand! I'm very cautious about what I take so at this point it's curiosity as to how different the effect, negative or otherwise, is between the ssri and snri

Don't even bother why you are on Cymbalata. My wife was on this and we tried to roll and nothing happened for her.

Just an update in case anyone else is looking for similar info:

The combination did work. Not as well as when mixed with one drink but rolling was experienced. I took one then a few hours later took another. The feeling was significantly short but it also did take a day to come off that rolly feeling. Other than that nothing bad or negative happened. Two days before wonderland I did not take my cymbalta and was not going to take it the day before but the withdrawals hurt too much so I caved and took it but did not take the day of similar to my first experience. Honestly though ya it did slightly feel like a waste of money just because i couldnt stop comparing my experience with the ball dropping good time everyone else who wasn't on the Anti-Ds were. I hope this info helps someone!

Cymbalta is an SNRI and as such in theory should reduce the seretonergic effect (the loved up part) of MDMA. However you will still get the speedy effects which is the Dopaminergic part of the drug. I was on Zoloft which is a similar drug and in theory should cancel out MDMA's loved up aspect, but I still got it on good pills (or by double dropping) - so my conclusion was it works but you need a bit more of the drug than other people.

I completely agree, I have ADHD so I kept saying it felt like I had taken my adderall same side effects and everything haha
