anybody thinks there's something else out there? other life forms

With our seemingly ever expanding universe, it seems impossible that were the only life form containing planet , I watched one of stephen hawkings documentaries and I think he said the universe is still expanding at a speed close to the speed of light(300,000km/s)

I believe there could be other life forms out there....They could be saying the very same things about us....Another planet like earth could be possible with other forms of life or even people that function just like us....I dont believe in ufo,s though....UFO,s to me have been nothin more than govt test vehicles that are top secret projects

If technologically advanced alien civilizations exist somewhere out there, it's ridiculously unlikely that we would be getting signals from them. Even the nearest galaxy is 2.5 million light years away, so aliens from Andromeda would have to be at least 2.5 million years ahead of humans, technologically, for us to be getting their signals now. The universe isn't all that old, and it takes time for a technologically advanced civilization to develop - it took the earth 4.5 billion years, which is ~30% of the age of the universe. I'd wager that the radius within which aliens could communicate with us is pretty small.

But on cosmological scales, 2.5 million years isn't particularly long. What if life on this alien planet got a head start on Earth's by ~.5 million years? How advanced would we expect it to be?

Maybe life like us comes together with a certain degree of predictability and regularity, like fruits of plants. There might be deviations. Maybe only average. It would be spotty, ultimately, the life that is technological or advanced in some other way/intelligent. It might be localized in time to a degree, such as in a broad view, the period that allows matter to exist in the form that it does.

Maybe life like us might evolve near us in time, but there might be other forms. Some we don't recognize.

I don't know. I just tend to try to think of us as "like plants".

But really, the conditions that created us were rather unique. The variety is much more than blueberries, cherries, raspberry, orange. I wonder if it isn't extremely, extremely rare for beings of our potential to exist. I don't doubt life, or even intelligence... But it is rare. Even if guaranteed at some point if another.

But how can I say that? I believe it as I wrote it. Maybe it is not rare. But it is still rare... Yes.

Unfounded why?

If there are Aliens out there, intelligent enough to have climbed the food chain and achieved interstellar travel, no doubt they would be more interested in wiping us out and stealing out planet than say, giving us all their technology.

Well, that comment reveals more about you and your state of mind than it does about ETs.

yes the universe is vast and there are other planets not discovered yet so I do believe that there are definitely other life forms out there. I used to watch this show called "Ancient Aliens" I think it used to be on A&E not sure if it is still shown there but you can always google it. It talks about how ancient gods are assumed to be be aliens etc

I do not follow Thelema, I believe in God and have my own ideology, however in thelema there is a 'demon' or rather a phenomenom called chronazon.
"The name of the Dweller in the Abyss is Choronzon, but he is not really an individual. The Abyss is empty of being; it is filled with all possible forms, each equally inane, each therefore evil in the only true sense of the word—that is, meaningless but malignant, in so far as it craves to become real. These forms swirl senselessly into haphazard heaps like dust devils, and each such chance aggregation asserts itself to be an individual and shrieks, "I am I!" though aware all the time that its elements have no true bond; so that the slightest disturbance dissipates the delusion just as a horseman, meeting a dust devil, brings it in showers of sand to the earth."[1]

As far as aliens go, I am sure there are other physical creatures, however I am certain there are other interdimensional beings. Spirits, aliens, faeries, angels, demons, whatever you may call or classify them under.
