I've been taking it every night for at least like a week, it gives me terrible, vivid dreams, but puts me to sleep. Last night I decided I need to stop because before I fell asleep I felt like my liver was dissolving. As for the dreams, last night was by far the worst, they mostly just bring out my fears in the worst way possible, loved ones finding my drugs, etc, but last night I woke up grabbing at the air because I drempt my dog fell out of my second story window next to my bed... was fucking awful. Anyway, kind of long winded for a simple question, but does anyone know how bad it is compared to say ghb or alcohol

There really isn't a lot of data on it other than this study that I could find: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15769562/

So, there is higher toxicity due to the lower returns on "investment" compared to GBL for example. But, we really don't know to what exact extent this is the case. Honestly though, considering its a solvent passing through the liver and you have been taking it in higher than recommended doses it may be causing some liver toxicity as it is an irritant and may cause some inflammation of any organs it is processed through due to this fact if I had to take a guess.

As far as the dreams and such, that is just an unrelated side effect that is to be expected.

I had a 60ml bottle in 2002, just before it was removed. Wasn't really that much fun.

GBL you mean? GVL hasn't been restricted anywhere that I am aware of except technically in UK via the NPS Act of 2016 maybe, but even that may not hold up in court just like other prodrugs such as NB-DMT may technically not hold up depending on how good a solicitor/lawyer you have at your service I guess. That is the rumor anyway; I haven't bothered verifying because I am barely ever in the UK and when I am I am not primarily there to be using substances (or even secondarily really that being said lol)

I am in US. Gama Valerolactone. It used to be sold at supplement stores as relaxer / sleep aid after GBL was outlawed. I gave it a few tries. It had a pleasant smell (it was used as food additive as well), but the expected pro-sexual effects were rather weak. That bottle was in my bar like for 15 years before I threw it out. In a retrospect, it was the first RC that I bought.
GVL -> GHV

Surprise, surprise. Look at this:

And one of the reviews:
"This obviously is not marketed for conump. Product is packed professional.
As for the “non-human consumption” effects it’s very mild but it does do something but not to the effect of the G"

I assume that a link to Amazon selling a product that is considered to be a flavoring is ok, right?

But all these kind of lost relevance, when one could buy a liter of 99.8% pure BDO for $60 from Japan on Ebay back in 2012. Though I've been extremely generous, I still have plenty. As long as you take of this stuff once every two months or less, it lasts you for decades. Now, if they only eradicated alcohol, for when it comes to cheese, olives and a nice bottle of red wine, scotch or toquilla, least I am during the period when I give all psychoactive substances for spiritual development, I loose all the stoicism I sometimes flaunt in this forum.

It's been a while since they came up with something new that is not a junky-level garbage. The last time was with N-BOME(s). With all the progress in life sciences, I'd say we are past due for an earthquake. Let me know when that happens.

Imagine this. We can create an ML (not necessarily, an LLM) model, miniaturize sensors so that they can assess/monitor/control the delivery of multidrug substances, enzymes, intermediate reaction catalysts, while determining in real-time personal characteristics that could be fed as parameters to an ML model that is running on a small device on your wrist, but whose sensors can produces measurements for model parametrization taken at relevant zones of your body (Vagus nerve, heart sodium channels, brain, liver metabolism, individual enzyme specifics, excretion pathways, and other vital individual characteristics, like exhaustion level, hormonal balance, individual vitas (8 months old pregnant female with narrow birth channel and some other risk factors. This device is small enough to be worn on the body along with a reservoir for all substances required to control the trip to optimize effects to a chosen profile while smoothing out in a servo-like fashion transitions for those to whom they would produce undesirable risks.
GoFundMe! :)

NBOMes are not garbage. They're good psychedelics, which just have to be dosed cautiously.
Still, pharmacologically a good invention. Very potent & inexpensive to make.

There are a lot of new compounds that are good imo.
2C-EF, f.e. DMXE. MXiPR. Bretazenil (at least new to the RC market).
