Currently have a legit script for generic Barr Dextroamphetamine IR 10mg/tab. Been taking on and off for about 3 months now. Was mainly trying to use it for social anxiety, motivation, and help me focus better when doing important tasks. Heres my list of sides and liked to know if anybody has a clue why I react like this to them(referring to negatives).
Positives:
Motivation
Wakefullness
Great energy
Euphoric
Initially become very social
Majority of these positives are very short lived(1-2 hours) while wakefullness feeling lasts the longest at around 3-4 hours.
Negatives:
High amounts of constant anxiety that last just about all day, actually got to the point where it started giving me ulcers!
Due to constant anxiety become quite unsocial
Very irritable and aggressive (Note: EVERY single stimulant, even something as simple as a single 200mg caffeine pill, gives me a very noticeable degree of this side effect)
Become unfocused/space out(The very opposite of what a lot of people use it for)
Has turned my what was once extremely good short-term memory to absolute crap, constantly have to recheck things, write notes or constantly remind myself in my head to do certain things.
Speech/vocabulary impaired, as in have trouble finding the words needed to explain or talk in general to someone.
Constant brain farts, lose track of what I was thinking about easily.
ALL these negatives last the entire day, even if just one 10mg dose is taken. Some negative sides stick mildy even through the following days. I really can't understand how a drug like this, even in low doses, can mess me up so badly! If I didn't know better and someone told me that this drug will help me succeed, learn, improve memory, and do better in school I would laugh in their faces and tell them they don't know what the hell they're talking about. From my experiences I don't even understand how you could get addicted to a drug like this, the negative sides hugely out weigh the positives for me.
Main reason I even bother talking these 3-4 times a week at 10-20mg/day is to erase the need for sleep for my job (drive a semi/doing deliveries), as I have such a messed up sleeping schedule and hours. Honestly though, writing all this out has basically shown me that it's not even worth it and I should just stick to caffeine pills and/or energy drinks. But if anybody could explain some of these somewhat rare and contradictory sides to me, I would LOVE to hear it!
