any way to test serotonin/dopimine levels?

im often depressed, but i try to hide it. don't reallly wanna get on SSRI's, i dont like the idea of having to rely on a pill, a long with some side effects that may come with it. but i mean i'd like to know how my brains doin.

sometimes i take 5-HTP and was wondering if you guys had any luck with that. what about st john wart?

in the beginning of being diagnosed with major depression my mother did not want me on ANY pharmaceaticals.

so i tried st johns wart and it did not help me.

try it if it does not help, seek professional help.

Some medicines will work better for you than for me so i dont want to recommend asking for a certain medicine(s)

ive been on a lot of pills since third grade for ADHD, Insomnia, Major depression, and anxiety.

If you do decide to take the professional help and they prescribe you pills, i will let you know that some of them could make you feel a little shitty for the first 3 to 4 weeks so dont stop taking them unless doctor or psychiatrist tells you too.

Some of the medications i have been on in the passed have truly helped.
