Any talent on bl

Thanks everyone :D

In response to Trammies, there's minimal after-touching on that photo, if any. I pointed the camera at the leaf and took the photo when it looked right, macro on. Nature's own aftertouching! Same goes for the eye, the green in the pupil is a reflection of the foliage around me.

Well, they're beautiful photographs, haha. I needa brush up on my photography, but my brother's borrowing my DSLR for the next three days to take photos of the mountains, and his drunken mates. Delightful.
I'll be traveling up said mountains in the week following his adventure, so I think I shall bring the camera, myself and my baby with me. :)

I've done a lil bit of photography myself, as well as photomanipulation for the hellofit.

^That one got to the front page of funnyjunk, was well chuffed!

Not at all surprising - almost shat myself in hysterics earlier this afternoon at that one :)
What about the chap to his immediate right though? What's going on there?

I disagree. People make out like if you're not beatmatching yourself then you're not really DJing. How difficult is beatmatching though? Do any proper DJs actually find this a struggle? It takes no more than a few hours to learn how to do it. I can beatmatch, I just can't afford decent decks & to constantly buy records. I could switch off the sync function on Traktor & do it myself if I wanted to but there's no point. The talent is in the tune selection, dropping it at the right time, blending the tracks together well, knowing what goes with what etc. If you are good at all the other stuff (which I'm not lol) but can't beatmatch then you can still be a good DJ, if you're the best beatmatcher in the world but can't do all the other stuff then you're still shite.

Don't get me wrong though, despite that big rant, I still like to see a DJ just playing off two turntables & a mixer. I think it does take more skill to get it proper bouncing with only that at your disposal (no loop functions etc).

In short, everyone can beatmatch but not everyone can be a good DJ.

%)

I agree. DJ effiecore :D

I <3 this thread :) B&W, love it!

Any talent? After my recent Spade inspired search I have discovered some old half done hip hop beats. Get the fuck out the road Pharrel. Get back to working in GAP Kanye. Dr Dre? Just fuck off. This is that real shit...

Sample Beat from the new Mouse LP - http://file031.bebo.com/3/song/2007/01/11/16/2619726488a3162630890b520943258.mp3

Subliminal Messages - An original beat from Bill Builds The Doob Vol. 1 (Bill is my mate's dad's name haha) - http://file029.bebo.com/14/song/2007/01/11/17/2619726488a3162866609b44805681.mp3

and yes, before anyone asks, this is/was a piss-take.

This is now becoming my dumping ground for new art

I have been known to make stencils. I usually just copy other artists though, don't really have any genuine talent myself.

I also DJ and make the odd track on my pc.

That is absolutely sick, 33hz.

Cheers, dude. Lovin' the stuff you posted in the thread as well. You have much better freehand skillz than me! I need a PC to make anything I do look half decent.

i hope its called murder the rainbow ;)

Ha, that would've been better come to think of it. I just went the for the unimaginative 'Taste The Rainbow'.
