Why is Ketamine so expensive? I can get a tab of acid for r100, a gram of shrooms for even less, but half a g of ket costs R1 800. What gives? I really want to try it but my bank accounts gonna be hurting for just 2-3 days worth
 
I imagine LSD is much easier to import while shrooms can just been grown domestically. I don't know how much ketamine is produced in clandestine labs in SA but most of the pharmaceutical supply comes from India, I believe.

Thought you might be able to help a "bra" out ( I mean the OP). Information wise, not sourcing wise ......... if this type of query is allowed on BL.

Back in the day I would be hesitant about this type of question, but it has been a while and when I saw this thread I thought you could handle it best.

***edit - Remember you aren't comparing "apples to apples" with those prices. Purely for surgical/official/supervised etc. K at that price sounds right, at least in the pharmaceutical registered products anyway.

Hence this edit and the "apples vs apples" remark. (no pharmaceutical registered LSD or Shrooms to be able to compared cost vs K.).... was actually surprised it is only Schedule 5 ( same as benzos, anti-deps etc,, would have thought it would have been S6 (morphine, amfetamine, cocaine etc).

I learnt something new there today

I'm sure you aware that we can't discuss prices here.

On the ketamine side of things. It depends where you from. Plus you mentioned getting its in grams so I suppose you getting the product already prepped for snorting maybe another reason for the high price.

But most of the keramine I have come across were all pharma grade inj vials. Mostly from the vets. And the inj vial price from what I have seen is maybe a third of what you mentioning.

And plus the scarcity of it as it is overall harder to come by.

Last time I saw a price for a 20ml vial was like 2 years ago and that was on roid suppliers price list 😆

Actually we do allow price discussion in EADD as long as it isn't in the context of sourcing.

It isn't permitted in DC (or any of the focus forums) which has gotten me mixed up in the past too.

Ketamine prices fluctuate wildly based on location. It's rather expensive and difficult to find in the US as well, compared to a place like EU.

A tab of acid here costs around $5, but a gram of real ketamine goes for $120+. You can find cheaper K out there, but it's almost always some other RC disso and not the real deal.

Ketamine is cheap and ubiquitous in the UK. £10-15 a gram or £30-£40 for an eighth depending on whether you're after shard rock etc. Quality varies but prices haven't changed much in years.

Ketamine is very very very popular around here and has been for decades so lots and lots of competition keeping prices down I guess. I would also speculate that we don't get as many of the RC impostors these days as since the Psychoactive Substances Act was enacted in 2016 they're no more legal than ketamine itself.

Acid is also cheap. I don't know about individual tabs (wanna say £5-£8 of the top of my head) but if I buy 100 it usually works out costing not much more than £1 a tab.

Seems like drugs in general are cheap in the UK. What can I say, we love drugs.

Yea the price sounds like he just bought RC dissos. I don't think real ket exists here. I might go to the UK sometime to try the real deal

For whatever reason you guys seem to get all the K from India.

From what I've seen, the only real K in the US is diverted from intranational pharmacies, which is much more difficult to do here now after the opioid crisis. Some comes from Mexican pharmacies, but they also cracked down on that.
