Any simple cures or aids to help get rid of "de-personalization".

And if I hadn't personally had positive responses to 5-htp...
Show me cases (as opposed to theory) where people have become ill from 5-htp.

You're talking to one amigo. I had a hard time getting a full breath for 2-3 days, and it was damn terrifying. I have anxiety to begin with though, so this just exacerbated it. I'm not saying positive effects can't be achieved with this supplement; but imo it comes with a price. There are safer alternatives.

Kinda reminds me of l-dopa. Direct precursors to neurotransmitters seem to be dangerous; akin to snorting something like a 2c-x. You are bypassing your body's natural ability to cope with what you put into it, and let it make the hormonal & chemical changes it needs to make to stay in balance.

Depersonalization disorder

Naltrexone is sometimes used in the treatment of depersonalization disorder. While studies have suggested it is less effective than naloxone for treating depersonalization, naloxone is impractical for daily use because it must be injected intravenously. A 2005 naltrexone study demonstrated an average of 30% reduction of depersonalization symptoms, as measured by 3 validated dissociation scales.[30] Most of the efforts in studying naltrexone for depersonalization thus far have been directed by Dr. Daphne Simeon at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Cryptix,
"It comes with a price" ...for YOU. Your experience does not necessarily apply to others. It sounds like you had a rough time on it, and people deserve to know that. But please don't assert that other people will likely experience that.

hey man, why don't you include my FULL quote? Like the "IMO" part. That stands for 'in my opinion' fyi.

What will help you? Time. Stay hydrated, drink a lot of water. In a few days you'll start to feel back to normal.

Agreed, I was also about to say: this can be relatively normal for MDMA. I tend to feel hollow and depersonalized after MDMA use, but sometimes not. Perhaps for you it is less typical, but not out of the realm of possibility at all.

What is psychedelic about this? I'm just about ready to move this to ecstacy discussion if you don't mind. If you do, I need a reason.
