any runescape players on here?

Started playing again now that they made 2007 servers.

My name is "Etiz" if anyone fancies adding me. Started a fresh account on the 2007 servers obviously, nothing special yet only been playing a couple of days. I'm either going to make it a boxer (staker) or a 1 def pure/zerker + dds staker.

I'm getting some non-combats up and doing a little questing before I get my combat up though I think, I'm at ~400 total currently.

I noticed there's actually a user called Bluelight, and they have their clan chat open, but I haven't seen them online. If any of you guys still play we could use that as a central clan chat? :p

Or someone else could make one?
 
I think its funny its called old school when RS from 2007 doesnt even resemble the true old school RS from 2001-2003. If they offered that again Id gladly pay.

They still have classic servers available, but only if your account last logged in past a certain date from what I remember. They're pretty cool though, I was on there a couple of years ago and they only had like 300 regular users on all the servers so pretty much everyone knew everyone else.

Actually, they might have taken the servers down now, I'm not sure. I don't think so though. I think they should add more servers and re-open it though like they did with 2007. Maybe with the success of the 2007 servers they'll see that it might be a good idea and give it a try if enough people suggest it?

Either way I'm pretty happy for the 2007 version of the game to be back. I love RSC, especially staking and mage, but I think they perfected PKing in RS2. ~2006 was probably the best time for it, but 2007 was pretty close.
 
Its probably 90% a nostalgic thing for me. When I started there were 2 or 3 servers total. Eventually my magic/mining/smithing/fishing were all in the 85+ range...had a pretty decent character and knew several of the big time players including Zezima who was #1 skill total for the longest time and had a fuck ton of coins. My account got deleted because after they stopped maintaining/updating the classic servers I didnt play for a few months because it was slow and buggy as hell. I didnt like the graphics or interface of the new rs2 so i didnt switch my account over and eventually they just purged thousands of us players that had been with them since the beginning. By the time I checked back it was too late.

So yeah Im just bitter. I look at the site now and laugh because of how different it is.
