Any Recommendations On Widening A Carb?

I just got a new pipe. Normally the store I get them from sells decent pipes. This time,however, the pipe came with an abnormally small carb. I suppose I could buy a new one, but then this will be a waste of $5. I am a very cheap person, and was hoping someone had advice on widening a carb without using a blowtorch. I have one, but I have never tried to use it for pipe-modding, and don't want to risk breaking or melting my only piece.

TL;DR: How can I widen a carb?

There isn't any tool to slowly grind the edges wider?
I'm really cheap and don't even know a second place to get them. The blowtorch idea just sounds risky.
 
any tool will be more than 5 bucks and will probably break the glass. the blowtorch probably will too.

buy a new one.

I have an entire garage full of random tools. Would a dremel tool would work?
Yeah, if I continue to use, I'm just gonna get one of the nice ones with a big carb and a thick stem.
 
Well, Mrsexypancake, in my fairly extensive experience with fucking with glass to mod or make meth pipes, I've found that the only thing that gets results is a torch.
I always preferred Mapp Gas, cause it burns hotter than a Bernzo Propane torch.

Why don't you wanna use a torch? Just cause it seems dangerous?
It is, to a point. You just have to be careful. I'd recommend not doing it when you've been up for days(I have no idea if you're talking meth or pot.) I have a nice scar from when I was cleaning a pipe with a torch, fell asleep, and dropped the pipe on my arm. It woke me up.

A Dremel, even at real high speeds, is most likely gonna crack the glass. Just about anything's gonna crack it unless you change the glass's composition/soften it.

So yeah, I'd say your best bet is to get a new one and use your current as a backup.
 
I had a similar problem. I just got a nail, and sort of filed off some of the glass in the carb by moving it around in the carb hole, thus widening said carb. Although thats prolly not the way to do it, as your pipe is made from very thin glass, which could easily break, while my pipe was a big, thick glass pipe. Just get a new one.

I think I've gotten some good feedback, so I'm fine with whatever you feel is most appropriate.
 
If you're gonna grind it, you're gonna get ground glass inside your pipe. You could theoretically inhale said ground glass. I vote torch.
