Hi everyone..this account belongs to my husband, but i thought i would post a question pertaining to my stoppage of my period and see if any other opiate dependent females out there have this same issue

i have been using Oxycodone and xanax for 6 years gradually increasing over time and i havnt had a period in about 4 years..my gyno said it isnt related, but i would like some other opinons from other opiate dependant females,if any0one else is having this issue??

My husband and i are in the process of tapering and possibly moving to sub in an effort to get our lives back and Im curious as well if My menstrual cycle will return after i get back to not being on opiates??

thanks for your reply Ladies..i appreciate it..Moontan

May I ask you how much fat tissue you have? Often addicts neglect their healthful diet which leads body having extremely low fat tissue which may lead into a stoppage of menstrual cycle.

Edit: It also works the other way around but is much uncommon.

I kind of WISH that happened to me.
I've not had any trouble with my period on opiates.
I'm actually annoyed right now that I got my period again when I'm trying to stop it.

i used to be pretty hot, but after my car accident and 6 years of oxys roxis and xanax, i have lost my desire to do much of anything as well as the ability to do very much(in pain 24/7)and have gained quite a bit of weight, even though i barely eat ..could this make a difference or be related?..thanks for your replies

my period has been irregular before when i was using meth.

theres lots of factors that could cause your period to stop...even stress. i know that BOTH being OVERweight or UNDERweight can cause your period to stop.
