MDMA is my drug of choice and I strictly limit myself to four times a year (three month breaks).

To pass the time I would like to find a variety of drugs to do that are interesting and do not have a cross-tolerance with mdma.

Would love to try some psychs, but sources for me are a problem. Might have a mushroom source in the future but that's it. My other interests are opiates and I do them once a week max and weed twice a week max. I abstain from all drugs for two weeks before mdma and a week following.

My question is, would occasional meth use (four times a year) at moderate doses (I hate staying up all night so looking to do some during the day without redosing) affect my pleasure centers (diminish other drugs) or have any neuro-toxic effects?

So many other threads out there have people saying that it's pretty much impossible to be an occasional meth user--that you'll eventually get hooked. I have a good support system, good discipline, and really no desire to be high all the time. Meth has such a bad reputation, but I don't know if it's just blown out of proportion because when some people abuse it they REALLY abuse it!

So if there are occasional meth users out there, I would like to hear your experiences/advice! Thanks!! :)

honestly i don't think meth would be the right drug for you then, especially if you have no tolerance (i'm assuming you don't). i'd stick with something shorter-acting like Rx stimulants or cocaine. that's just my opinion, though.

it is possible to be an occasional meth user, as long as you can keep it under control. i'm not sure about neurotoxicity, but occasional use shouldn't affect how your body reacts to other drugs. (hopefully someone pops up with more detailed information on that for you)

that being said... i would feel remiss if i didn't say that meth really is one of those drugs that you have to watch yourself with. i'm not saying that after one time you'll be hooked because that isn't necessarily true. just be careful ;) meth can be a lot of fun when you don't overdo it (as i am prone to do).

whatever you do... have fun!

Thanks for your opinion! I have tried coke and it didn't do much for me. It felt pretty good, but it seemed like something was just out of reach and it was so short acting I had to keep doing it.

What sounded appealing about meth is hearing about the long lasting rush of pleasure. But I've heard some people say that it's only like that the first couple times. But I didn't know if it was spaced out with months in between then it would always be good(?).

If you do roll, there is a good chance that there is meth in your X. I have never tried meth though, sorry. I do hear that amphetamines in higher dosages do feel like rolling.

yeah, i'm not a big fan of cocaine either. as far as meth goes, it is quite a rush, that's for sure. if you use if often, of course the 'rush' won't be the same, but if you only use it occasionally you shouldn't develop much of a tolerance and thus, you should still be able to get the rush you crave. the reason i recommended other stimulants is because you said you wanted something for during the day, that wouldn't cause you to stay up all night; but since you don't have a tolerance, doing one or two lines could literally keep you up two days. i am not trying to spread some bogus propaganda... it can happen.

hmm...while usually i would never tell anyone to "give meth a try," i personally am one to try [almost] anything once, so maybe you should do the same. just do some more research so you really know what you're getting yourself into and make sure you have a few days cleared in your schedule. and START SMALL.

these are just my opinions. in no way i am recommending you start tweaking! just had to put that out there for anyone else who reads this!

I tried to be an occasional meth user, but it doesn't really work out well that way. Meth was just way to addictive for me not to keep using. When I wasn't high I certainly was wishing I was. The comedowns were killer so you wanted to stay up all the time.
IMO you really can't STAY an occasional user.

It's definitely possible, in Australia especially meth/speed use is so widespread and most people can keep it to occasional use, or at least just weekends. Smoking or shooting it are obviously more addictive. The problem is it can feel so benign and often you don't realise you're getting into trouble until it's too late.

Depressicaa, I don't think the pills I've had have had any meth in them. Most all have been tested and also confirmed clean on pillreports.

It's funny, on the one hand it's scary when everyone says "don't try it, it's too addicting" but on the other hand it gets you thinking "wow, then it must be really good! I gotta try it for myself and see!".

^ Sadly that is the mistake most people, including myself make.
Trust me, you can live your whole life without trying meth and not miss anything.
Or you could try meth and maybe just find that you fucked your life up real good and don't want to live it.
Meth was by far the stupidest thing I've ever done and that is saying something.

Yep, I find it impossible to remain an occasional user of meth. I've fallen into the trap of addiction. Occasional use is certainly possible (I know a few occasional users), but you need to have a lot of self discipline and not let your occasional use become regular use.

i have found it HARD to occasionally use amphetamine, even. I used to use occasionally over the summer, then it became once a week to multiple times a week, been doing that since october, and it sucks stopping. Meth is probably easier on your brain, dose for dose, than MDMA though.

I've never been good at following rules for drugs or anything that I really enjoy for that matter, to me that takes away alot of the fun but that's great you can set rules for yourself and keep them. The problem is that the more drugs you try the more likely you are to find the one that takes you over, that you can't stop, that you lose all self control over.

I've never done meth, but I've done my share of dexedrine (rx speed) and of all the drugs I've done and never had a problem with that was the one that took me over the quickest and I didn't even realize it. Within a couple months my whole world was centered around takind dex and drinking, sometimes for days and nights on end without sleeping.

I ended up quitting it for quite awhile and am now able to use it occasionally but it takes a lot of effort. I'd imagine meth would be even more likely to take you over than prescription speed. The only reason I haven't tried it is because I've seen what it's done to my friends who've gotten into it....well those people are no longer my friends...very sad what it does to people.

If you really want to try it just realize how quickly you can start to rationalize breaking your own rules and be safe. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like staying up at night, I can't even take 40mgs of Adderall without being up for like at least 36 hours.

(this is from someone who has never done meth, just a lot of prescription speed)

hahaahahah i miss meth, i've been a meth addict for 2 years, and i miss those days.
NO Man you cant be a occasional meth user, once ur in, Ull GET HOOKED UP.
SO many bad effects to your body, WHat i've missed in using Shabu is the good old times
with my buddies, having no sleep for 3-4 days, the RUSH of power to your head, the coconut taste of it. ahhh dont try it man youll get hooked up hehehe. pis!!

^yeah, it would be oral dosing. I am curious about RCs--what would you recommend that would have no cross-tolerance to mdma?

Most 2Cs and tryptamines won't have any serious cross-tolerance to MDMA. Some of the more stimulating 2Cs might work partially by releasing monoamines -- the fact is nobody understands how 2Cs work, since 5-ht2a appears to be only a small part of the effects profile -- but I don't think you'll hit cross-tolerance with MDMA, or at least I've never heard reports to that effect. The only RCs that will probably effect cross tolerance are direct MDMA analogs -- methylone, butylone, MDAI, MMAI, ethylone -- and 5-MeO-DALT, which has been reported as mildly entactogenic. Nothing else should produce notable cross-tolerance, so any other tryptamine is fair game, as well as any synthetic cannabinoid.

As for a recommendation... 2C-T-2 in the phenethylamines, and 4-AcO-anything in the tryptamines.

Basically what you are saying here is that you can in fact beat meth correct?
.

No, that is not correct. I wasn't saying anything, I was asking! lol

But the message is loud and clear and thanks for the input.

Don't think I have any way to get K; I just have one source and his connects are limited (friend of a friend kind of deal). I'm older (40s) and in a rural area so I can't pick and choose unfortunately. Not even sure if I could get meth really, just assuming it's everywhere.

If it's going to fuck up my rolls, then I have no interest. That is something the wife and I share and I don't want to lose that.

Yeah meth is incredably addictive, it's definitly the most addictive drug I've done. Every time I did meth I'd stay up all night and then for another 2 or 3 nights and use for a total of 5 days or so. Bleh.

So yeah, if you want to only do it once without redosing and want to sleep at night then meth might not be right for you.

I've parachuted meth before and let me tell you it's just as addicting as doing it any other way.

I don't find this to be true. Oral meth doesn't give nearly as much as a rush as smoked or IV or snorted meth, and smoked and IV give more of a rush then snorted. In my experience smoked meth is far more addictive then snorted or oral (never IVed meth, but I think it's pretty much like smoking it).
